This October, the Outer Banks Visitors Bureau is launching the first-ever Outer Banks Volunteer Week. Visitors, residents, and second homeowners are invited to connect more deeply with the community by joining local organizations on meaningful projects and events.
Volunteer Week is part of the Bureau’s new Voluntourism program, designed to support local nonprofits, promote off-season visitation, and highlight the ongoing work that goes into sustaining the Outer Banks.
From helping at the Island Farm pumpkin patch to participating in beach cleanups, community 5Ks, or music festivals, there are plenty of ways to give back while you get away.
