Hurricane Erin Update

Dare County Emergency Management is actively monitoring Hurricane Erin. Current forecasts from the National Hurricane Center show the storm staying offshore. For our area, the primary impact will be high surf and dangerous rip currents.

Guests are reminded to use caution and follow all posted beach flag warnings — yellow flags mean hazardous surf, and red flags mean no swimming.

mandatory evacuation is in effect for Hatteras Island to the south of us due to flooding risks in that area. This evacuation order does not apply to Currituck or Dare County towns north of Hatteras, where our homes are located.

You can continue to monitor official updates here:

We’ll provide further updates if needed. For now, enjoy your Outer Banks vacation — just keep safety first on the beaches.
