Enjoy the private, triangular shaped pool (15'x14'x5'), or the Community pool and tennis. Linens provided. I love the house it was dated but nice. However due to blood and urine stains on the mattress covers on the room with the bunk beds, it put a damper on my grandchildrens vacation. They were then afraid to sleep by themselves( 5y & 7y) We we called to alert the staff they were very attentive and sent someone over promptly to remove the bedding. Kudos to them on the fast response!!
We did love the close access to the beach.

We loved the house . But could of been cleaner the vents had tons of dirt. We cleaned the tubs better a lot of dust in Conor of the ceiling. But over all we liked the place . I would rent it again but would bring extra cleaning supplies.

TernPoint Beach Rental

Our family getaway at TernPoint was great. The house was large and everyone was able to have their own "space". We had great views from the deck. There were a lot of steps both in the house and to the beach so I would advise anyone renting just to be aware of this.

Terning Point - An Absolute Gem!

We all loved our stay at Terning Point! It's a gorgeous, well maintained home. We spent so much time together in the massive third floor family room/kitchen/dining room area. We had game night every night in bar area on the second floor. We also loved the Foosball table and the hot tub! This was the best house we have ever stayed at in OBX, and it was so close to the beach! We look forward to coming back. Thank you so much for the stay!

Overall good with a few issues. Kitchen was nicely updated and great! Brand new deck was nicely built. The AC vent was so filthy we ended up buying a new one to replace it. Pretty disappointing since we have young kids. The bedrooms are dated and king beds are extra hard. The cleaning was subpar, nothing more than a quick once over. We did check in early and it was ready earlier than expected but I was hoping for a little better of a clean, especially when paying extra to come in early. Outside pool was smaller than expected but served its purpose. The outside pool chairs could be updated. Hot tub was not working when we got there but management was great in sending someone out to repair it! Beach was awesome but lots of stairs to get there! Overall was an ok house for our first trip down to OBX but we will be looking for another for next years trip.

Great Place!

This place was great for our family, very spacious and great outlay. Upon reading prior reviews, the kitchen was noted to be an issue in the past but has been fully renovated so was perfect. The TV in the family room was still was not functional per prior reviews so we called maintenance and it was fixed. Of note, the door with the cable box needs to be open though for it to recognize the remote. We did alert the management that the air filters needed changing and hot tub temp was went down/turned itself on in afternoon. We used it the first night though without issue. Beach access is one house over but does have quite a few steps which an be more challenging for more senior guests. We enjoyed many sunrises and sunsets from the decks.

The house easily accommodated all 15 of us from age 5 to 77. Plenty of places to spread out. The 5 youngest kids loved the dip pool. Close to a Food Lion and fish market. The only negatives were the unpreparedness of the house. It appeared that it had not been cleaned. Dirty carpet, nothing dusted, table and night stands with coffee rings and finger prints. We were not given enough sheets and towels for all of us so some beds were not made up. We were given only 3 rolls of toilet paper for 7 toilets. The pool chairs were broken. These small things gave a negative first impression.

June 2021 Family Fun

This was our first trip to the OBX and our families had a wonderful time at Terning Point. Very nice house with plenty of room. Beautiful view from the deck and a quick walk to the beach. The rental company provided fresh towels at check-in and again mid-week which was nice. We couldn't find the wifi password anywhere but the rental company was very quick to get back to us with what we needed. The kitchen had everything we needed and the large pantry was helpful for storage.
We will have fond memories of this vacation!!!

Perfect Change of Scenery

Lovely house in a great location. Kitchen was fantastic - well-equipped and with high-end finishes. Whole house was very clean. Never could get the main TV set up working, but with more TVs in the house than I've owned in my life it wasn't an issue. King mattresses were hard for my taste so I actually moved to one of the bunk beds. We stayed for Thanksgiving week, and the complimentary disposable roasting pan was a nice touch. I recommend this house!

Lucky for us we had great weather in October and were able to walk the short distance to the beach, spending hours there most days!
Great to be back in Crown Point, (where we built one of the first houses there in 1993) Crown Point is a great community....
The house had everything we needed for 3 generations of family.
Remodeled kitchen is great!
I would highly recommend this great house!

This house was in a great location; convenient to the beach, grocery stores and a couple good restaurants.
The remodeled kitchen was a huge bonus and needed since the bathroom and other parts of the house need to be remolded and revamped in my opinion. I wish there was more than 1 full shower in the house the other showers were the small stand up type. Beautiful views from the upper deck and the deck furniture was very nice. We would stay here again!

First time in the outer banks

My family needed to get away during the Covid pandemic.
Only time in our lives that we will be able to drive to the Outer Banks in 12 hours flat from Boston.
House location was perfect. House was spacious and clean. Hot tub was great. Pool was small and i heated but the beach was fantastic.
Few issues some covid related some not

Some necessities were lacking- no salt and pepper or any spices for cooking. We understand the limited toilet paper but there was no laundry soap,trash bags, paper towels, dishwasher soap or cleaning supplies.

Also the TV situation is ridiculous. Out of all the TVs in the house and with all the instructions we were able to use two of them successfully. The entire system is soo outdated.

Another Great Week

A wonderful property: well maintained, well appointed, well equipped for housekeeping. Beds already made- unusual, and wonderful. Literally all we needed was to add groceries. Perfect location, great views and access to beach. Issues with main TV- probably due to recent storm damage, was addressed first thing next AM- Beach Realty couldn't have responded more helpfully. Terning Point is the go to place for us. Literally.

Terning Point is a very nice rental home. There were more than enough utensils and other items. The stove is old and on burner failed, but a repair was made very promptly. Access to the beach is via a path one house over. Be aware that there is a 35-step climb to get over the high dune for beach access. The beach is nice and wide.

We had a great time at the Terning Point house, everything was clean and ready upon arrival, the house was spacious in a great location. Just so you know, we did notice some ants by the railing going up to the kitchen, not a ton of them, but may want to get an exterminator to the house at some point

Our family had a great stay. This property has a lot of positives. Fantastic views, lovely living areas, nice firm mattresses, and plenty of room. The kitchen stove needs new burners asap! (It is almost unusable!) I would recommend bring your own towels. The carpet is not worn and looks fairly new but it is not being cleaned deep enough.

Lovely house - fully equipped. Family had a wonderful time with many lasting memories. First time to the Outer Banks and enjoyed the laid back pace. Accommodations and amenities were perfect. Walk to the beach over the sand dune was very manageable for small toddlers. Overall, very pleased with the and would consider future visits. Traffic was extremely congested and slow going upon arrival. Would recommend arriving early, if possible. Communications with the Beach Realty was excellent and we found everything in place and well cared for.

Fantastic week!

The house is very well-equipped, with spacious layout and many amenities to entertain guests. The location is excellent: the beach is literally right behind the house, grocery store is within walking distance, and neighborhood is very pleasant. We absolutely loved our stay!
