Description

This architecturally unique 6 bedroom (4K, 2T, 2 Pyramid Bunks) oceanfront home has everything you need for a perfect vacation. Start your morning with coffee in the Ship’s Watch, where you just might catch sight of dolphins or the occasional whale. Beach access is right next to the house. Great shops and restaurants are within walking distance. Golf, wild horses, and other adventures are all nearby as well. You won’t run out of things to do! Relax in the private pool, on the deck with 180-degree views of the ocean, or in the hot tub. House has lots of books, puzzles and games. Life is “So Good” in the Outer Banks!

New in 2020: Completely remodeled second floor including two pristine primary bedrooms, each with a private en suite bathroom.

Outside: Private pool. Hot tub. Parking for 5 cars. Stairs to beach located adjacent to house. Fenced yard with outside shower, picnic table, patio and Wilmington gas grill.

We loved our stay at So Good. We are coming back next year. The location is excellent, and the home's interior works well for our family and parents. Everyone was so happy there. 4th of July Vacation

We had a great experience, the house was beautiful and well equipped. We also appreciated that the rental agency was quick to respond with some minor repairs that needed to be taken care of. The house was the perfect size and had ample space for our family vacation, I also appreciate that most of the bedrooms had attached bathrooms.

Very windy and occasional rain. Out of six days only one was spent on the beach. Unfortunate for us but unavoidable. We’ve used this cottage for 20 years and consider it our home away from home.

So Good Beach House - 733 Crown Point

House is very spacious. Kitchen had lots of dishes/glasses/coffee mugs, but could have used a few more pots and pans. Was also equipped with coffee maker, and air fryer and crockpot (we would have liked knowing this before we took ours) We did have maintenance bring us a broom because there wasn't one. House was clean when we checked in, but there were a few lights burnt out, one of them maintenance replaced but didn't notice some of the others until after he was there and it wasn't worth calling back for a second trip to us. The house does need some bigger maintenance items (ceiling repair in mid level master, door jamb fixed, laminate over sink needs re-glued - all minor and didn't affect our stay but should be addressed by realty company). The basement bedroom's bathroom is not next to it, it's across the rec room by the back door. (just for information)

Nice play to stay

Location is great and the pool (albeit smaller than it looks in the pics) and hot tub are well-maintained and clean. The deck off the kitchen is an awesome place to hang out and watch the sea. That said, there are a lot of little things that need work - torn screens, windows that don't open properly, hole in the ceiling, etc - they don't really affect your enjoyment of the property but it detracts from the overall feel. I'm sure these big rental houses get rode pretty hard all season with large groups, so manage your expectations. But overall I'd stay there again, property management was very attentive and maintained contact from check-in to check -out.

Wonderful Home

We really enjoy this home and is the 2nd year we have stayed there. Has everything you need and so much for everyone to do! We have had as many as 13 people stay in this home and plenty of room for all. The pool is very nice as it is located on the front of the home so you get the nice afternoon sun. So close to shopping, restaurants, groceries, etc. Just an all around great place to stay!

Spacious home with comfortable beds and furniture. The location is great . You can walk to stores. There are a LOT of steps both in the home and the beach access. The pool is in the front so it had extreme sun most of the day, but that was good for us since it would be very difficult for a child to wander out to it. My only complaint was it was very far from a lifeguard stand. Overall it’s a great house and we would rent it again.

So Good - So True

So Good is a wonderful home that is well furnished and maintained. We traditionally vacation in Nags Head but decided to go to Corolla this year for something different and although we were hesitant about depending on public access to the beach, SO Good exceeded our expectations.
In addition to being next to the public access walkway which made getting to the beach so easy, the location near stores made quick runs an easy trip. The refurbished bathrooms were very nice and the game room was one of the better ones we've enjoyed in OBX. The front-yard pool was a nice change that allowed afternoon sun and warm water when we didn't go to the beach; and the crows nest provided wonderful views to enjoy the lightening storms.
We highly recommend So Good

Nice Week at the beach great location. Would have been better if the pool was heated. The back yard needs some cleaning up. The inside of the house was great very clean and lots of space.

Everything You Need at the Beach

This place has a great location, right over the dunes from the water, but it has a few quirks. The pool is in the front, right by the driveway, instead of in the rear, which could make some guests feel on display. Strangely, there is no open deck on the ocean side, though there is a lovely elevated “ship’s watch” room off the main living/dining area on the top floor, perfect for watching the surf. There’s also a sunset deck off the master bedroom where we had cocktails. Everything on the interior was well-maintained, clean and spacious. Most thing on the outside could use an upgrade. One safety hazard should be addressed: there’s dripping water (I think from a hose bib) by the pool area and it has caused a big streak of slippery moss to form between the driveway and the pool. Somebody’s going to fall on that.

Pandemic Escape

We had a great time at "So Good"! The weather was a little unsettled at the beginning & end of the week, but we had a few good beach/pool days. The house was perfect for our group. The Captain's Alcove was a big hit!

So nice and close to the walkway to the beach. The little ones loved the ocean. The pool was also very much used. The open design of the home facilitates the 10 people in our party without the feeling of being crowded. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

Crown Point- First Time

We have been staying in the OBX for nearly 30 years on the north end- this was our first time in Crown Point. The lots are much smaller/houses closer together than in other areas so this was a surprise. It also led to the beach being more crowded feeling- and this is during COVID. The dunes are also much higher so many stairs up and down. The house itself was very nice with lots of space and generally well equipped. Oceanfront is always nice- the pool and hot tub got a lot of use. We ordered the linen package but were surprised that there were zero kitchen dish towels in the house so needed to go buy some. Overall, the house and furnishings were all in good shape, pleasantly decorated and well equipped for both fun and cooking in.

Fall Friends' Reunion

Seven friends enjoyed a week at So Good—these comments reflect one person's opinions. We enjoyed the hot tub and pool, found the kitchen to be accommodating, and loved the ship's watch. The beds were comfortable. Next time, we'll find a home with an elevator!

It was difficult to get information about the condition of the house after the hurricane, though we waited a week or two to allow time for the realtor to check. Closer to the time of our visit and while we were there, the realty staff was very helpful. The house was clean and reasonably maintained (except for some broken chairs). I would recommend the property.

We enjoyed four-wheeling on the beach, visiting the lights and Manteo, crabbing, and sitting on the deck when the weather allowed. We especially enjoyed meals at Suey Barbecue, La Dolce Vita, and Upside.

Gorgeous ocean views! Lovely home, although this time the upstairs area was quite dirty. We cleaned kitchen and living room area and then enjoyed our time in this wonderful, relaxing, ocean front haven. Pool table in basement offers fun evenings and the ocean front deck offers blissful sunrises. A place we return to year after year.

Perfect week!

We traveled with four children and five adults. The rooms were great, lots of options. Having an extra bathroom on the middle floor cane in handy. The kitchen was well stocked for preparing meals and the big table on the top floor was used every night. The kids were well entertained with the pool table and swimming pool and the adults were able to relax in the hot tub at night. Great beach access and perfect views from the deck. The hammock on the second floor deck was a pleasant place to unwind. The house was kid friendly and the layout allowed for privacy between floors.

We had fun. The pool was handy, could see the kids in the pool from the main living area. Close to beach, clean rooms. Awful WiFi set up. It kicked me off of WiFi every time my phone snoozed. But it was clean and had beautiful soaring windows and great open spaces. Low flow toilets are different . Hold down the handle until it is fully flushed. The service was very good. The were responsive to any problems!
