Wonderful Stay
Our family really loved this house. Everything you could want to make your beach vacation both enjoyable and memorable was provided by this house. The pool was great, the hot tub was awesome, the location was good for shopping at either Food Lion or Harris Teeter and the house had everything (appliances, comfortable beds, plenty of TVs, room for the whole family of 17 and lots of plates, utensils, cups, glassware, etc.).

Great vacation with family!
Our family had 8 adults and 6 children. Kitchen and dining room area was spacious and the layout was perfect. The kitchen was fully equipped. The can opener was broken so we bought a new one and left there for future guests. Our smoke alarm needed to be replaced and maintenance was quick to fix even at night :) We did send a message about the pool lights not working outside and we were told they would send a service request. That never got fixed so we couldn't enjoy the pool in the evenings. We made the best of it. The home was clean and we were delighted to get a 2:00 check in! The previous guests left two completely full dishwashers of dishes which hopefully was an oversight on their part as it was hard to figure out where some of the dishes went lol. Short walk to beach and easy to get to shopping and grocery store by bike or car. We would definitely stay at this property again!

Well Equipped Rental Needs TLC
The rental is nicely laid out with a lot of amenities and well equipped, especially the kitchen. However, even though adequately cleaned on the surface, a deep cleaning is needed. Furniture in the living room and the second floor den need replacement. House needs a lot of minor maintenance. The property manager was very responsive to a couple of problems with the kitchen sink faucet and drain. Beach Realty management of the rental process and maintenance request was excellent.
Richard, thank you for taking time to send in your feedback! This winter, the homeowner dedicated time to enhancing the comfort and appearance of their home. They updated the family rooms with fresh interior paint, upgraded the furniture for a more modern and inviting feel, and installed brand-new carpeting throughout. We hope to see you back at the beach soon to enjoy the upgrades in the property!

Vacation 2024
It was very nice. We had 10 children and 8 adults. The children loved , the arcade game and the swimming pool. The game room was nice the kids set up their game systems. We loved the fact it had 2 high chairs and baby gates. We had a 1_1/2 year old and one that will be 2 in July. It was very close to the beach and it was very relaxing and very spacious. We also enjoyed the hot tub while the children were swimming.

Great family vacation
Carolina Getaway met all our requirements Everyone had their own private space. The kitchen was well stocked ,just remember to bring your own potholders and dis towels.
The pool and hot tub were put to good use.
Be aware there are a lot of steps. Anyone with knee and hip problems will find them challenging.
Going to the beach was tough especially with baby equipment.
The house was clean but could use a little sprucing up. New slipcover on the sofa. Fresh paint on front door and the nai

Wonderful Vacation Home
We had a great stay at Carolina Getaway with multiple generations enjoying the house from ages 3 - 70. The pool/backyard area is great and I love the magnetic gate latch so kids can't go into the pool unattended. The video game was a huge hit on the rainy day. All of the bedrooms with en suite bathrooms were great, the walls are a little thin and we could hear people snoring on the middle floor from the master bedroom! Beach Realty staff was excellent and acted on any requests for help very quickly. The a/c

Great house!
My family loved the house so much that we tried to rent it for next year.
It met all our needs.
There were a few glitches that didnt affect our stay. The sliding glass door on the top level was very hard to open. There were some dead bugs on the walls in the entry way that needed to be cleaned.
Other than that, it was great!

Nice Carolina Getaway
The house was nice but the weather was not.
Description was accurate. Not too far from the beach.
Well maintained.
Pool and hot tub were clean. Tennis courts and olympic size pool are a bonus.
We always enjoy shopping at Timbuctu, miniature golf and go-carts for the children.
Sadly no indoor eating at Cosmo's pizza any more.
Good value at the local bagel shop.
Manager Response: Thank you for your review, Lawrence. We are glad to hear you enjoyed the home and your time in the Outer

Huge house, bathrooms for every adult bedroom was great! Pool, proximity to the beach, pool table, fully stocked kitchen, all pluses! Only complaints was the cleanliness of the house. There was sand in one of the beds, hair and dust in one of the bathrooms, garbage on the floor in one of the bedrooms, obviously wasnt vacuumed.

Short walk to the beach! Great for big families/groups
We had a fantastic stay at Carolina Getaway. We had 5 adults and 8 kids. This house is a short walk to the beach (less than 5 minutes. A lot of rooms and so much living space for us to gather for meals/games, etc. Very clean. I The only downside were the "Palmetto Bugs". We were told that this is something that couldn't be controlled. We had a few in the master bathroom upstairs.
Manager Response: Thank you for your feedback, and glad you had a great time. This home is protected with a pest con

THE UNIT WAS CLEAN AND READY A LITTLE EARLY. WE HAD A PROBLEM WITH WI-FI AT FIRST BUT DISCONNECTED AND RECONNECTED ROUTER AND EVERYTHING WAS MUCH BETTER. THE ICEMAKER AND REFRIGERATOR TOOK A DAY OR SO TO COOL PROPERLY DUE TO HAVING GUESTS CHECK OUT THE DAY WE CHECKED IN BUT ALL-IN-ALL, I WOULD RENT THIS UNIT AGAIN!!

Loved Carolina Getaway!
We had the most amazing week staying at Carolina Getaway in OBX. It is located in a great spot in Corolla, close to beaches as well as shops/ice cream/dinner/boating, etc. You can easily walk to the beach with your things, as there are many quick paths that lead right down to the beach. The house itself is incredibly clean, spotless in fact. Each room had it's own bathroom which was hugely helpful for my large family. We had many happy meals around the big table on the third floor (beautiful space for gathering) and many swims in the pool!  We are already hoping to come back next year - definitely recommend!

Nice, Comfortable House, Good Value
Spent a week in mid-June with 18 in our extended family. House was well maintained and comfortable. When we notice the grill was almost out of gas the management company supplied a new one very promptly. Nice pool. Walk to the beach was just a few minutes. No real view of the ocean other than a glimpse in the distance between houses but we knew that when we reserved the place and the price reflects the distance from the beach. All in all a good value and a nice place.

Nice house with plenty of common area and nice furnishings
Lovely house, better than most we have stayed in. All appliances worked and the two coffee makers and two dishwashers in the kitchen were a welcome addition. Also the five master bedrooms were great! Good furnishings.
Only two complaints, the trash cans are old and broken down and missing a wheel and had some maggots on them. Pool couldve been a bit larger.
Great location, especially for us since we spent our days on the 4wd beach

Great experience!
We were quite pleased with this home overall. It was very clean, spacious, and with 17 people in one house we expected it to feel cramped and loud. You could not hear others between walls or on other levels.
The major advantage was the short walk to the beach! We also appreciated the empty lot behind us. Some homes look directly into another home whereas this home had a bit more privacy.

OBX 2015
We had a great time and the house was very accommodating for our needs. Lots of room for our four families and good access to the beach. We also liked the close proximity to the shops and grocery store.
Manager Response: OBX 2016! See you then.

an enjoying stay
Overall is was great, a few minor problems that took more than a one phone call to fix, depending on who i got i guess depended on how fast the porblem got fixed. finally, "maureen" handled the issues very quickly for me!
Manager Response: So sorry about the issues with the hot tub and the internet. Glad we were able to get you back up and running again, I know how important it is to stay connected, even while on vacation. Hope to see you next year.

Fun Beach Trip
We have stayed in this house several times and really like it. Â It is a good fit for our family. We appreciated the new slip covers on furniture, new bed covers and shams and other decorative upgrades. Also, the internet connection worked great this year. (In past years we had lots of outages.)Â Â Our only problem this year was the gas grill. Â It did not have any propane in the tank. Â We did not know this until we tried to cook our first meal on it. Â Dinner was very late that night! Â Perhaps checking to make sure the grill is in working order should be part of the pre-checkin duties for housekeeping. We are planning to come back to this house next year. Â It is in a good location and not too far from the beach. Â All 15 of us enjoyed this trip.Â

Beach wedding fun
We had a great time at Carolina Getaway. The hottub didn't work when we got there but Kitty Hawk rentals took care of it. Loved how close we were to everything and the house is fabulous.
Manager Response: Tracy, thanks for being patient with the hot tub. We appreciate it! Hope you will consider us for your next golf vacation!
