Although originally planned for the Wright Brothers Memorial in Kill Devil Hills, Dare County announced on Feb. 27 that “plans are being finalized” to relocate its signature A250 Faire event to downtown Manteo and Roanoke Island Festival Park on April 18.
Join Dare County and the National Park Service for a full-day patriotic festival celebrating the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Held at the historic site of the first flight, this event honors American innovation and discovery with a day of community celebration and "liftoff" in the Land of Beginnings.
