Explore Outer Banks Shipwrecks

The Outer Banks is known as the "Graveyard of the Atlantic" due to the presence of around 3,000 shipwrecks. You can stop into a local dive shop if you are up for a scuba adventure.  Or if you want to explore from above the surface, stop in to Ocean Atlantic Rentals to rent a Kayaks or SUP.

You’ll need a flashlight and a net. Do this in the evening after dark and have fun chasing the ghost crabs as they scurry down the beach from one hole to the next!

You can also sign up for a Ghost Crabbing adventure by GC Quest and learn all about these critters, plus some history of the Outer Banks too!
