What a view
The view from the house was great, we could set on the deck and watch the ocean. It was an easy walk to the beach. The house has plenty of room. The house was clean and well maintained. We would rent the property again.

What-a-View
The house name lived up to its name. The view was amazing. The beach access was close and easy to use. The house was clean and had plenty of room. The kitchen was well stocked. Loved sitting on the top deck in the mornings with our tea and coffee and listening to the ocean and watching the dolphins. A great rental property

The view was spectacular from the all windowed top floor and the 1st floor master. The beach was only steps away. The house was clean, having 4 bathrooms was a definite plus. The appliances were new and kitchen had everything we needed (we did seem to keep running out of forks). We thought the hot tub was in an enclosed sunroom from the pictures but it was actually off the 1st floor ocean facing master bedroom in a small room just big enough for it. We still enjoyed it, just felt it was odd. It wouldn't prevent us from renting again. We did have guests in the other side of the duplex...but literally only knew it because we saw their car. We never heard them.

Great WEEK and WHAT A VIEW!!
House was in great condition, comfortable, no issues. This property owner should consider an upgrade in media, specifically larger TVs for evening movie watching. The hot tub could stand to be upgraded as well, it kinda worked and needs help. The deck and stairways should be checked and repaired for nail pops, our only real complaint. Thanks for a great stay. Will stay again!

Truly an Amazing View
If only the weather was a wonderful as this house was! We had one half day of sun. However, we had a wonderful house to enjoy, with all the amenities of home. I was amazed at how organized and well stocked the kitchen was. the wall of windows allowed full view of the angry ocean, but we loved watching. The beds were comfortable. Loved the private baths in each master bedroom.
The staff at Beach Realty were attentive when we needed to reach out for a couple of issues. The beach was beautiful with direct access. Would love to come back when the sun is out!!

Very nice cottage that needs work.
Great location and layout - well equipped. The cottage needs lots of maintenance. Electric outlets that don’t work, dismantled smoke detectors and all cottages should have handicapped toilets.
The views are wonderful.

What-a-View did not disappoint
This property was perfect for our needs. The windows were clean allowing a pleasant view of the beach. Rooms were clean and accommodating. I wish there had been empty kitchen cabinets for storing our dry goods. We did have a run in or two with large spiders and a roach. Time for exterminating. There are two outdoor showers; one with a faulty shower head; one with no shower head, just a pipe.
A nice short walk to the sand. Quiet neighborhood, but close to everything. We will rent here again, depending on our crowd size next year.

Great stay at What A View!
My family, 8 of us enjoyed our stay. We always prefer South Nags Head as it’s close to our favorite restaurants, shops, and a little quieter. The driveway situation is a little tight with the neighbors, some updates could be made to the home, especially all bathrooms a little small & need Smart TV’s. Proximity to beach is awesome! Views from the top deck are great, but would recommend captains chairs as it’s hard to see from the Adirondack chairs. Overall, a great stay!

Nice Vacation
This house met the needs of my family of six.The house was clean and had an amazing view of the beach. We only had three good beach weather days but we did get to see some beautiful sunrises from the upper deck. The house is far enough away from crowds but close enough to enjoy local attractions and restaurants. Some of our favorite local restaurants were Mulligans and the Dunes. I would defiantly consider staying at What-A-View again. Beach Realty and Ocean Rentals (beach chair and umbrella) were top notch to deal with and provided excellent communication.

Should be clearer in description.Made parking a bit challenging with the number of cars.Lots of deck and living area space. Perfect for 1 family or 6 adults. Would be a bit tight with more. Super location. Convenient to everything, but being a the house was a total feel of being away from it all.

Location was perfect. Proximity to beach was ideal especially with young kids. Views from living room and decks were as advertised. Interior was actually nicer than we were expecting, as kitchen counter and sofa cushions were seemingly recently done/replaced. Overall, we cherished our week here and hope to return.

Our whole family absolutely loved the house. We loved the open concept and it was equipped with everything we needed. It was very clean. We love that is right on the beach and loved using both decks. Thank you for making this one of our most relaxing and wonderful vacations.

Relaxing and enjoyable
This vacation rental was all that and more! We loved the house, the view was beyond amazing and all of the baby items made this the perfect place for our family. We had plenty of space to really relax and enjoy our stay! The hot tub seemed to be on the fritz here and there but we were able to use it most of our stay, and there were little things that could be fixed up a little(back screen door off master suite) but this didn’t ruin our stay at all! So beyond thankful for this home away from home, my whole family really enjoyed it!!

October at What-A-View
We enjoyed the wonderful view and the nice decor. The kitchen was well equipped. It was a quiet location but close to many things we wanted to do.For families considering renting this house and the one next door, #90, we had the brighter, nicer house with more ocean front windows. I would recommend doing the Whalehead tour in Corolla and for those able to climbing Jockey's Ridge to see the sunset from there.

Fantastic Location
We had a great experience. The location is amazing, and proximity to the beach is key. We loved being able to leave the screen door open to hear the waves, and also walk right out to the beach. Would really love it if there were some updates done to the beds - mattresses and comforter upgrades would make a HUGE difference. The door knobs are all rusted, and it would be great to replace them with keyless entry (easier during the week and also check in/out experience). We were pretty bummed the hot tub room windows don't open so you can hear the ocean. It looks like the windows would slide open from pictures, but they are sealed shut. I think this is a major downside when comparing to other houses with outdoor hot tubs. Kitchen was a good size, with all working appliances and well-stocked. We appreciated two tables to spread out. Deck furniture could use an upgrade, too, if you're feeling ambitious. Two outdoor picnic tables, charcoal grill, and outdoor showers were awesome.
All around, we would consider renting again next year at this same time, especially if there were mattress/comforter upgrades. We had an amazing week, and loved South Nags Head. Thanks to the owner for a great house with a great rate for priceless memories made!

Another fabulous OBX vacation!
What-A-View lived up to it's name. I can't imagine a better location on the beach. Furnishings were very nice and the kitchen was very well stocked although the knives could use a sharpening. :). Beds were comfortable and there were many puzzles, DVD's and books. Just want to clarify the hot tub room has no outdoor entrance. The only way to enter is through the master bedroom and it's a bit noisy when it clicks on at night. Other than that, the house is wonderful. We experienced the H2O waterpark for the 1st time and will be going back next year. My 21 yr old did the adventure course over by the OBX Mall and had a grand time. Overall we had an excellent stay.

Pleased but dissappointed with service
We loved the home except for the very steep steps. The view was fabulous from both levels & the distance to the beach was perfect. We were not happy that the living area floor was still full of sand on arrival but the rest of the house was clean. When we called about many lights in the home were out and two can openers did not work we were promised that the problems would be addressed but no one ever showed up with replacement bulbs or a can opener. It was ridiculous for these things not to be fixed in a short amount of time since they were easy things. We would have changed the bulbs ourselves but the ones in the living area were up in the ceiling. We could not reach them. The grill was also in very poor condition. The home was great but the service was unacceptable. The people in the office were so pleasant but we got no action. We were not told about a fishing tournament during our stay & woke up to see vehicles parked right in front of our beach access and steps. This was very upsetting!! We paid to have that access & peace on the beach without cars and trucks parked everywhere. We have always enjoyed the Outer Banks because it is so peaceful & relaxing & you did not provide that this time.

What A View Says It All
First time staying at What-A-View. One of the nicer rentals my wife, four kids and I have stayed at over the years. The view from living room on third floor is fantastic. Great layout inside with easy outside access to an uncrowded beach. I would definitely stay here again.

Lovely Vacation
The only problems were that the property is not easy to find. The property numbers are not in view and it would be nice if the driveway was trimmed back. Also we had to buy traps to catch 2 mice and get spray for the ants. Otherwise, it is a great place to stay. Loved the access to the beach and close to shops, restaurants and attractions. Would stay here again.

Family Vacation
All 12 of us look forward to our beach week at What a View! Our home away from home. The second day the first week we stayed at the home, everyone requested I book for the next year. Plenty of living space, bedrooms and baths. Beach access is private and easy. Property management company is great to deal with.

What-a-View is True!
A pleasant family vacation. My brother got his wish and was able to watch a huge thunder storm just off shore one evening. My grandsons loved playing in the waves. Everyone slept very well and had a wonderful time.

Wonderful view!
What-A-View is what it says, what a view! Beautiful view of ocean,duplex is laid out perfectly. The staff were great to work with, we needed to rent on an off day and they worked with me. Good location to everything you might want to go to. Only complaint I have is that it could have been cleaned better. Shower curtain in bed room had mold on it. Other than that I would rent it again if I have a chance.

A great week in teh Outer Banks!
Very Nice overall. Everyone we dealt with was friendly and helpful. The home was beautiful and great for our family. Two minor issues for us which could be bigger issues for someone else were that one of the bathrooms was not working and the hottub was dirty. But we wouldn't have used it anyways. Otherwise it was a great place to stay.

Beach Rental Off Season
We were very pleased with the rental. Clean, inviting and well stocked. Private inside hot tub next to/in master bedroom made it a bit of a put off for other guests to use. The view was wonderful, good central location to everything and wonderful morning sunrise views.
