Description

Turtle Shack is located close to the beach in the charming oceanside community Sea Tern, just north of Duck Village. Bring your family along with your furry friend for some quality time. Relax, make memories, and enjoy the beach in the perfect setting.

The home is very spacious inside and offers good ocean views from top deck and large great room. Nicely furnished and very well equipped kitchen. The dining area seats 8, and the kitchen has 5 bar stools. The covered porch outside provides a dining table for 4. Lounge by your own private pool or take a quick walk to the beach, just 100 yards away.

Sea Tern has private beach and sound access and is conveniently located close to Downtown Duck and the Duck Town Park. Park amenities include a soundside boardwalk, amphitheater, public kayak/canoe launch, picnic shelter, playground, gazebo, walking trails and summer events. A seven-mile long multi-use path is located on the east side of Duck Road and provides a scenic and safe recreational venue for visitors to enjoy. Pedestrians, bicyclists and in-line skaters share the Duck Trail.

This is our 2nd time staying at the Turtle Shack, and we thoroughly enjoyed it again! The beds are very comfortable and the living space is great in the kitchen and living room area with beautiful views of the beach.

Great Family Vacation Housr

We enjoyed our family stay at the Turtle Shack and had a great time. It’s location was great and centrally located to all the places we explored and a short walk to the beach. Very clean and well furnished. We would have loved to use the pool, but the weather was cold and windy. We would definitely recommend this vacation home. Communication with the rental company was great as well!

Cool for quick getaway

Was in Duck for business in November (can you believe it?) and snagged this recently renovated house. Very clean, nice sheets and towels, well stocked kitchen. 1 min walk to beach with dogs. Dog friendly house, but not worn at all. We didn’t swim in pool or much else but on a nice lane and quiet. The web check-in made it all very easy. Close to 2 Harris Teeters and good range of restaurants.

Thanksgiving visit

The home was clean and nicely renovated. The only frustrating thing was that we could not get the door code to work and it took 45 minutes to get anyone to help us get in.

Great Escape!

Beautiful, comfortable house. Very clean and well maintained. Easy walk to the beach~ close enough to hear the surf. Quick drive into Duck. Would have liked screens on the windows so we could have had them open~ but it may have been too early in the season. Would definitely come back!

Amazing beach trip!

The location of the home is perfect - just a short walk to the beach and the Sea Tern community is pretty spread out so the beach itself wasn't too crowded. The pool at Turtle Shack is awesome and gets much needed shade at different parts throughout the day. Upstairs living area and kitchen is very spacious and the recent upgrades to the house are nice.
