Description

This 4 bedroom, 3 bath home with private access to the beach at Avalon and two private accesses to the Sound, allows you to easily explore all that the Outer Banks has to offer! Just 150 yards from the ocean and only 1 1/2 miles from the Wright Brothers National Memorial, Turtle-ly Beachin' is conveniently located at Mile Post 6. Less than 2 minute walk to the beach.

Enjoy a day of fishing at the nearby Avalon Fishing Pier and then bring home the days catch to the fish cleaning station. The pier has a great Arcade with games that the kids will love! The little kids also have a turtle sandbox with toys at the home for additional fun!

All bedrooms and the game room feature a TV and DVD player as well as a 72 inch TV in the Living Room! (Bring your account information for Netflix or other streaming services) At night, relax outside by the fire pit and roast smores, which is fun for all ages!

The First Floor has Living Room w/ Large Flat Screen TV, DVD Player, Kitchen, Master Bedroom w/Queen TV & DVD, Bedroom w/ Queen, TV & DVD, Bedroom w/2 Bunk Beds TV & DVD and Hall Bathroom. Outside Covered Porch and Deck with furniture. Enclosed outside shower.

Outside entrance only to the lower level. The lower level garage has rec room w/ ping pong, reading area, Bonus room with Double Bed, Full Hall Bath. AC and heat available in lower level apartment.

Our guests love how close our home is located to the beach!

Guest comments include "We enjoyed playing ping pong in the game room and we had fun dining at the picnic table on the deck." "It was great being so close to everything - Avalon Pier, Awful Arthur's, Jockey's Ridge, Wright Memorial and of course the Ocean!" "Wish we could have stayed longer.

It's a Great cottage for family fun and kids.Wished the used towels and sheets from the prior renters had been picked up and a dishwasher would make this cottage excellent.

Best Rental!

We were very pleased with this rental. It had one of the most well stocked kitchens we have ever stayed at. Super convenient to the beach access and the fishing pier. Wish that the listing had mentioned that you have to go outside to get to the lower level, but we just had more kiddos bunk up then originally planned.

Not bad for the price!

Was a nice house! Kids enjoyed the games. Furniture not very comfy in living room...especially after a day at the beach and needing to sit down. Also you cannot take a bath in the master bath, only a shower. All in all the house isn't bad. It's very nicely decorated and feels good. Was glad to be there and not in Indiana ��! Had family from Newport News visit. Should add a hot tub! Thank you Beach Realty! We will be renting through you again!

Overall, good place to stay

This was close to the beach and the Avalon pier which was really nice. If you are looking to be somewhere where you won’t be driving I would recommend Duck or Corolla. If you wanted to do anything not beach you were driving. I’m not sure if my phone service just blocks the texts but we did not get the text about our house being ready and I had to call and ask. It was a nice place, plenty of room, nice area. They did require you to take our trash/dishes/linens in a particular spot which was fine.. but they didn’t provide any trash bags or extra toilet paper. We had to run out for those things. We also didn’t have the amount of towels we needed for each person/child.

Overall, a good place. I would stay closer to the places we could walk next time for more to do. But if your primary goal is just the beach then this is a good find.

I had a wonderful experience...very cute house and great location close to the beach and Avalon Pier. the new decking was very nice having shade and sun...was able to get some suntan on a couple of days. Great chairs on the deck.
Wanted to park my car in garage however the lift for the washer dryer prevented that...potentially could have pulled to the side of that however would have been very tight. Although i did not use it the downstairs with extra bedroom, bathroom and game room was very cool and for bigger families would get used a lot.
Overall a good experience.

HALLOWEEN AT CRABBY ODDWATERS

GREAT LOCATION ESPECIALLY FOR THE OFF SEASON. VERY SHORT WALK TO BEACH AND AWFUL ARTHURS. MY DAUGHTER LIVES IN COLLINGTON SO WE WERE ABLE TO HAVE THE GRANDKIDS OVER AND ENJOY THE WEEK WITH THEM. THE ONLY NEGATIVE WAS A STRONG ODOR FROM THE DOWNSTAIRS AREA. NOT SURE IF THE HOUSE HAD BEEN TREATED FOR PESTS OR IF SOME TYPE OF VARNISH OR OTHER SOLVENT HAD BEEN APPLIED RECENTLY

Great home; great memories!!

I was great spending the week at the Crabby Oddwaters with my family, friends and pets. The home itself was very clean, confortable and we had lots of memories to share! It is located in a great area within walking distance to the beach, shops, a pier and restaurants! Would definitely rent this home again! Highly recommend!

Crabby Oddwaters Kill Devil Hills

My family will definitely visit the outer banks again. It is a wonderful place to relax and have a much needed break. We stayed in Kill Devil hills at Crabby Oddwaters. The location and price of the rental were great. The rental needs some updating and there were a few issues. We were only a party of five so no one had to sleep in the garage level rooms thankfully as there was an odor and there is no entry to the home foe those bedrooms other than to go outside and up the stairs.The amenities listed a dishwasher not a big deal but there isnt one. It is a very short walk to the Pier, the ocean and to Awful Arthur's. In all our experience was good.

One burner on the stove didn't work. The sofa needs replaced. And we found a time shirt next to the bed.they dropped off linens and towels for the next guest 48 hours early so I felt responsible for them also it reminded me my time was almost up.

Really close to the water and avalon fishing pier. Comfortable rooms. Kids loved playing pool and having their dog on vacation.

We had a good vacation. The house was clean and good for our group. We had fun playing ping pong and chilling out as a group after being at the beach. We used the outdoor shower. We had meals on the deck. Nice neighbors nearby. Dog friendly. The house is comfortable, with plenty of room for everyone.

Our first visit to the Outer Banks and we plan to return as soon as we can. Everyone we met was extremely friendly and there were a lot of things to do and see. The home we rented was an older home but very well maintained and felt like "home" while we were there. So close to the ocean, many restaurants and the pier! Love the fact that pets are allowed at so many of the homes and so many public places. You know when you can keep two older kids entertained and wanting to come back it was a successful vacation!

OBX Crabby Oddwaters

I have been going to the Outer Banks all of my life. We have stayed all up and down from Duck to Avalon. Our trip here was the best!!! We had a great location. The beach access was awesome. We had a short walk and there were no big dunes to cross and the access was right there!! I felt good about letting my teenagers walk to the beach and to the beach shop at Awful Arthurs. The cottage was wonderful with the downstairs having a separate entrance. We loved the ping pong table and pool table. The only complaint is that the kitchen is not well stocked. There were no scissors and no lids that fit the pots. It needs to be cleaned out. It could have used a thorough cleaning. But it wasn't bad.

Cute vacation home for a long weekend getaway in Spring
