Would stay here again!
A Shore Thing met all of our needs for a wonderful OBX vacation! Morning coffee on the screened porch, fenced yard for the dog, hot tub were favorites. When we weren't at the beach or having a meal out, the home was comfy and clean. The home is close to Croatan Highway so be careful with kids and pets. The walk to the beach was easy for us or you can drive to public parking and have a much shorter walk very easily. Definitely would recommend booking with Beach Realty. Everyone I spoke with was very help

Great place To Stay
We loved A Shore Thing in KDH! We have always stayed in Buxton and while we love it there, we spent alot of time driving. The house was very nice with a short walk to the beach and the fishing pier. The backyard for the dogs was smaller than expected but served it's purpose to let our puppies get out and run their zoomies out. There is noise from the traffic but sitting on the porch and enjoying the breeze made us forget all about the traffic. On a clear day you can see the ocean from the porch. We all love

Lovely home away from home ♡
So cute & cozy. It was clean, it was spacious, everything worked just as it should and all furniture/beds were comfortable. The hot tub was relaxing & clean and I loved being so close to everything. When we come back again, we would love to stay at this property again!

Spacious house with fenced in back yard.
The house was very spacious for our family of 5 and 2 dogs. The fenced in yard was nice for dogs to run around. Only change would be to have stairs off of back deck to the yard. Only bad thing would be cleanness of the house. Floors were not vacuum and bathrooms not cleaned. The house is close to alot of things including the avalon pier and awful athurs which we walk to several times. Also the house has keyless entry which is nice to not keep up with a key. Would definitely recommend staying again but need

Sun and fun in Kill Devil Hills
We had a fantastic trip. The house was great. Only disappointment was that we could not get the propane grill to work. May need to have someone look at it.

Wonderful week staying at A Shore Thing in OBX
My family stayed at A Shore Thing the week of 7/18/20. The house met all our needs and was perfect layout for our large family. We had 4 adults and 4 children with us and all had our own space if needed. Its just a quick bike ride to the beach access and the kids loved fishing on the Avalon pier at night. We would definitely stay here again in the future!

Our stay was great, we had 8 people and everyone slept comfortably. The only problem we had was the ad said that the house was only 100 yards from the beach, we measured it when we drove our stuff to the beach it was almost half of a mile. But it ended up not being bad with public parking right across the street from the beach.

Would stay again
Close walk to the beach-about 3 blocks-5 minutes . Its a house so it had the usual minor house issues. (One toilet ran, one sink drain, dryer vent was off-we fixed that, one set of towels that was wrapped up and supposed to be fresh and clean was REALLY dirty-the other 9 were fine) ��♀️ None of these things bothered me but did some others in my party. Air conditioning worked very well. Hot tub worked. Ive maker worked. I would stay here again. Good location and close to

Nice between the roads house
Our arrival was delayed by Hurricane Dorian, but we still had a great time and even better weather. The house was in a great location! We could walk to the beach, Avalon Pier, and Awful Arthur's.

Would stay again
We were pleased with the the rental. We had 3 small children and even though the house was not that close to the beach, we parked across from Awful Arthur's which is public parking and walked to the beach.

Family vacation.
The place was nice. While we were sweeping, there was dirt under the couch and either dog or cat hair. The dishes had water on them, the ones in the cabinets. I made sure all the dishes we put away were dry. The cabinet the dishes were in was in a terrible place. The dishes were hard to get to. Especially the glasses. You need more plastic glasses for children. The right front burner on the stove was not working right. You should have the pin to unlock the bedroom doors there incase one of the doors gets lo

Cottage stocked with everything
It was a lovely visit, the cottage was well stocked and everything was very clean. We only wish there was a more direct route to walk to the beach, we had to walk down to 5th street were K-mart is and go across..... instead of walking directly straight to the beach.

Great Vacation
We had a very nice time. The house is within walking distance to the beach access, but rather close to the main road which made for a noisy time on the porch and we had small children with us so farther from the road would have been better for us. The layout of the house was perfect for us - grandparents on the upper level and the kids and grandkids on the lower level.

Great time!
Very nice rental. For 10 people the kitchen could have been bigger. However, the bedrooms and bathrooms were very nice. Will most definitely rent again.

Nice Stay
Most everything about this house is wonderful. There were a couple things I was not happy with. Whatever chemical is used to clean the microwave, fridge/freezer was so awful smelling, we had to wipe out everything before we put food in everything. Even after we cleaned the ice-maker out, the ice still smelled like that awful chemical. My opinion is not to use it anymore. Also, in the advertisement it said it had a Jacuzzi tub, which it did not. There was still dog hair on the couch from whoever stayed there
