Relaxing Vacation

Since I needed the reviews to book my trip, I felt it only fair to leave a note for the next person. The house was everything it said it would be. We used the kayaks and the beach chairs in the basement. We saw horses every day, and even one day we saw 17! We started our morning on the top level and ended our evening in the hot tub! Perfect place for a large family. House is well kept, and when we had a very small issue with a smoke detector going off the office was so kind and prompt to work with. I loved that the management team was commutative both by email and phone (even by text, because let’s be honest I’m on vacation and I don’t want to call anyone).

Gorgeous comfortable home 7 miles out on the 4x4 beach

The house was clean and the layout was fantastic and perfect for several families. Very peaceful and light. I would live on the upstairs level year-round if I could! Short drive to the beach and the horses did come up in the yard several times. Kitchen well supplied. There are actually 2 washer & dryer sets; hot tub worked fine; outdoor shower is a plus; and there were several chairs, boogie boards, and kayaks for use.
In response to other reviews:
Yes it had a great Culligan water filtration system.
No, dining room does not seat all the house can hold however there is plenty of room to sit in the living room right next to it or on the deck.

The bed in the master bedroom downstairs has a 4-in memory foam topper and was by far the most comfortable bed in the place. The others which lacked it were so hard that it gave one of our couples back issues. I would suggest to Beach Realty that adding toppers to the others would greatly improve the comfort level without costing too much.
2 minor complaints: Ice maker in fridge was not working; After we left I texted the number provided to let them know of that, plus an electrical outlet issue and the fact the propane for the grill was all gone when we got there, and requested a reply to make sure they got it but never did. Maybe it is not a line that can text in reply but I was concerned when I saw a review show up 2 weeks after our stay and they had the same complaint that the ice maker was not working.
Also after our stay I called twice over 3 weeks time because I never got the email to leave a review and both people told me it was in the welcome email when there was NO LINK to it in the welcome email. They couldn't help me beyond that (it finally showed up a month later??). So communication seems a bit spotty but otherwise we had a great time and the family now insists that we stay on the 4x4 beach next year as the remoteness was so peaceful.

Amazing experience!

The house and location was the perfect way for all of the group to get the full OBX experience. We saw wild horses each day and even a sea turtle once near this fairly remote location. Come prepared, as it is a trek to the grocery store. We also enjoyed that it is about a mile from a boat ramp, which made it easy to put your kayak or paddle boards in and explore. I highly recommend this house, as it came with several amenities including a hot tub, 2 kayaks, beach necessities, kitchen appliances, and more!

Thanksgiving at Ocean Aire

We had a great time at this home. We easily had 11 adults with room for one more. Home is very nice, but bare minimum - definitely a rental. We donated a few wine glasses. Kitchen supported a full course thanksgiving- we did bring the deep fryer. Beds were comfortable, didn't care for plastic mattress wrap. Hot Tub was a nice Bonus!

Outstanding Accommodations

The Ocean Aire served as our family vacation destination after two years of not being able to get together. Our party of 10, including two toddlers, throughly enjoyed the proximity to the beach. The living room was spacious, with the up stairs deck being our spot of choice for evening cocktails after a full day at the beach.
I would encourage the Management to replace a few of the blinds which were broken and have to have the stove either serviced or replaced as a two of the four burners would intermittently stop working. Please don’t let these two notes items prevent you from selecting this home. My family and I will definitely return!!

We LOVE the 4x4 beaches

We LOVE the 4x4 Carova beaches and have always booked through Beach Realty. This house didn’t disappoint. This was a great house and location. The house had a great water system so no yellow water like we had experienced in the past. We saw horses every day. Some days they were even in our yard. The view of the beach was AMAZING. We were disappointed that the hot tub was not installed but we’re pleasantly surprised with how the management company handled that issue. Would definitely recommend the house, 4x4 beaches (if you have the right type of vehicle) and Beach Realty.

Lovely Getaway

This was a great location for the week with our family. The beach is very close and it was awesome to see the wild horses grazing on the dunes or in our yard.

Pluses - You can bring your dog, it has a spacious upstairs living space with seating for 8 at the table and 2-3 at the island. There is a nice deck that looks out over the ocean (1 block back but very close).

Negatives - There were no comforters on the beds and the blankets provided were QUITE thin. There are sheer curtains on the windows so get ready to wake up when the sun is up! There were not updated beach parking passes so either make sure you have a temporary one or check in with the realty company before arriving. (We had a year long pass).

Great Getaway House!

My family and I stayed here in April for a beautiful week! The house is a fantastic location and value for the off season, which is my preference for deserted beaches. The house is a rental house, so there are small things that continuously need upkeep, but nothing ever detracted from the experience we had, and the rental company was very responsive! We ended up having an extra non 4WD vehicle we needed to park and one call to the office and it was taken care of! So quick and convenient. Morning coffee was always on the upper deck, horses grazing every day and even full speed running through the yard one day! The beach chairs in the basement are in great condition and are super helpful to already have at the house (saves room in the car!) The house is so spacious and clean. We already requested to book the same week away next year because it was absolutely perfect for us!

Stay was very nice, house fully stocked with the essentials. The house was located 1 block from the beach and had all the amenities for the beach. Chairs umbrellas etc.. The house was very clean and in great shape and the vacation rental management staff were very helpful.
