We had a great stay! The house was fantastic and all aspects of the rental process with Beach Realty were handled well. They were response to questions, communicated multiple times during our stay with information, and made sure ask if everything was ok throughout our stay. Great quality and customer service!

Great Vacation!

It was a beautiful house. We had plenty of room. 3 full story house. We really enjoyed the swimming pool and the hot tub. Very clean. No sign of it being a pet friendly house. Enjoyed the bicycles. It was close to the beach entrance to drive out on the beach. We got to see the beautiful horses.
We were close to a number of great restaurants too.
I would love to go back to the same house!

Maholo stay

We had a very relaxing week. The house is beautiful, beds extremely comfortable. Kitchen well appointed with literally everything you could need. Pool is large and patio area is very nice. The neighborhood was quiet and well maintained and a short walk to the beach. The only negative was the dryer was not working properly and we discovered towards the end of the week that the vent leading out of the house was cram packed with lint, so potential fire hazard there. It could have been a little cleaner over all, smudged windows and dusty baseboards in the kitchen. But really not too bad.

Everything about our vacation in Corolla was great. Location, house views all good. About the house though. It was IDEAL. NIcely furnished, spacious, new Weber grill which was a plus. House was nice and clean prior to our arrival and left clean on our departure. ONLY criticism is the coded door. I'm pretty sure it was our mistake about using the code
but we worked around that. What did we do wrong? Lessons needed.

It was a nice house to stay at and enjoyed the pool and hot tub. The only thing was from the pictures it looks like access to the beach is right near the home, unfortunately, you need to leave the development, cross the street and walk through another development before getting to the beach. You could walk if you didn't need to take anything with you but if you had stuff to take, you needed to drive. Location was nice, just due to traffic it took longer to get places. Was over all a nice stay.

We were a group of seven adults and two kids and it fit us perfectly. Everyone had their own bathroom and we had everything we could need in the house.
The location was perfect to what we needed I am very close to the beach a short walk. I would stay here again.

Had a wonderful stay in late May, thanks to flexibility on the part of the owners and Beach Realty in moving us forward from 2020. Our house was beautiful and well taken care of. We had a minor maintenance issue which was fixed within 24 hours and with good communication. The house was in a great location with respect to the beach, but still sufficiently private, and the neighborhood is quiet. This is in no way a negative, but a general note for OBX returners that check in times are a little later than they used to be due to extra cleaning; we were cleared to enter around 5:30. Overall, would highly recommend for a suburban-type relaxing beach vacation.

Mahalo 9/26 to 10/3/20

The house is well appointed, kitchen well equipped. The pool and hot tub were lovely, the pool was larger than most. The walk to the beach was 10 minutes even while walking my dog. The neighborhood is nice, quiet and pleasant for walking. There is new home construction 3 houses away but indoor work being done, so not disruptive so much.
I think the furniture and floors could use a cleaning however with it being the end of the season we realize some of the deep cleaning takes place after the busy season.
There was some traffic noise from the main road however not enough to be a bother. Shopping was within a few miles.
We went to the nature boardwalk, and Corolla Adventure Park, kids loved it.
Golf/Putt Putt on natural grass was nearby and a new experience. Due to the pandemic restrictions we did not eat out however did pick up seafood and pizza which were both were local and enjoyed by all.
I was curious however to know why we were requested to be at the home for a Direct TV repairman. During vacation I may not have my phone with me, but I was expected to receive these voicemails and be present for the repairman. It ended up being a TV issue, not a cable issue so a maintenance person could have handled it anyway. The next day another Direct TV van showed up, he came to "replace all the products in the home to upgrade them." We were not informed about this, I offered to call Beach Realty to advise, however the worker declined and left. This should have been scheduled on an empty week. I don't think we should be responsible for outside workers coming into the home.

Great place to unwind, relax and spend time with family

Mahalo was a lovely rental in a great location. It was an easy walk, bike ride or quick drive to beach. And it was close enough to walk over to the lighthouse area and some of the shops. The home was clean and enjoyable place to unwind and relax. We made great use of the pool and hot tub.

Relaxing week in Corolla

My husband, along with Millie - our boston terrier had a lovely week staying at Mahalo. The home was beautiful, clean and in a perfectly quiet and somewhat isolated location - which is exactly what we were looking for. The layout is great for multiple people/families and more home than we needed, but were loved having the fenced back yard and pool/hot tub for us to relax during the day. We spent each morning and evening walking the beach with our pup and thoroughly enjoyed all of the amenities that Mahalo provided. The kitchen was well stocked (with the minor exception of no scissors) and everything was super clean and the AC efficient. Quite cul-de-sac location less than a 1/4 mile from the beach. TimBuck II shopping cetner was about 5 miles away and the Harris Teeter about 8 miles. Duck was about 16 miles where most of the upscale restaurants were. We did take out from the Corolla Boiling Pot company and highly recommend it, and enjoyed a lovely meal at Aqua. Would recommend this home to others! The Best Vacation

The house was great! The pool and hot tub were clean. The surprises were the beach chairs, the corn hole game and the many books. It was one of the best rentals EVER. We did not use the bunk beds but the remaining beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed. We could not ask for more!

Great home for a family reunion!

The property was exactly as described. Very comfortable for our extended family of 8. Very impressed that a home of this size could be so well air conditioned. Several block walk to the beach and trail/wildlife refuge. Close to grocery stores.Had all the cooking utensils we needed. The kitchen is on the top floor with the master BR so it was nice to have a second refrigerator on the bottom floor near the pool patio. The charcoal grill wasn't usable due to the rusty surface. The gas grill was perfect. The gate to the pool from the back of the home did not lock when closed and was easily opened by the younger kids. Believe it needs to be adjusted.

What a great vacation in a perfect home and location!

Fun was had by all. Perfect location with a short walk to the beach. Quiet cul de sac for peaceful evenings. Everything for the perfect family vacation from infants to grandparents. Pool was great for family fun. Clean and spacious. Minor miscommunication from property manager quickly rectified. Kitchen equipped with everything you need except surprised no salt/pepper. As first time OBX visitors, now we know to be a little more prepared when we arrive.

The condition of the house was very good, had plenty of room for our group of ten. The pool was a big hit. Seemed like it was bigger than most of the other pools in the area. Kitchen had all the equipment we needed. The house also had all the beach items(beach chairs, boogie boards, umbrellas) that were needed which was a plus.

Comfortable house - well laid out, great furniture, and in a great location. This is our second stay in this property and hope to return. Only negative is that the air conditioning on the second level (bedrooms) did not work. I would also suggest additional Adirondack chairs for the back deck. Everything else was perfect.
