Description

"Hip Hip Hip Hooray" is a 3 Bedroom 2 Bathroom condo tucked away in a gated premier resort village with tons of activities for everyone in the family. You will find this home beautifully decorated and newly renovated with stunning granite counter tops and updated stainless steel appliances. No wood panel walls here!! Lovely ocean views from you own private balcony with direct proximity to the pool so the kids can have some fun too, all the while still within walking distance to the wonderful shops and restaurants right in Duck. 5 star cotton sheets and towels are provided upon your arrival, as well as beach chairs, a beach umbrella, and assorted boogie and skim boards for guest use. Free WiFi w/4 Smart TV's signed into Netflix and Pandora (or you can sign into your own account). You couldn't ask for more, upgrade your vacation into "Hip Hip Hip Hooray" and we will keep you coming back for years to come.

In addition to its wonderful oceanfront location, Barrier Island Station offers a wide array of amenities including: large outdoor pool & baby pool, indoor pool & hot tub, steam room, game room, fitness room, tennis courts, basketball, shuffleboard, grill areas, and fish cleaning tables (see a complete list below). Additionally, there is a large sundeck and an ocean view snack bar that is open from Memorial Day through Labor Day.

Ground Level: Parking with a 2 car Max, Community Pool, Snack Bar, Walkway to Beach and Community Sun Deck.

Mid level: Bedroom with King and Flat Screen TV, Bedroom with 2 Twins w/trundles and Flat Screen TV, Laundry Room, and Full Bathroom in Hallway.

Top Level: King Master with Shared Full Bathroom and Flat Screen TV, Kitchen with Granite & Stainless Steel Appliances, Dining Room w/Seating for Six, Living Room w/Flat Screen TV and Wood Burning Fireplace (off season use).

The entire BIS building 200 has just completed renovations, including new sliders, windows, decks, staircases, entry doors, and siding.

Family Vacation by the Beach

Our kids enjoyed the easy access to both the beach and the pool. The beach was fantastic, plenty of room even with peak crowds, soft sand, and ghost crabs to seek out at night. The Snack Shack between the pool and the beach is a great option for lunch or a quick mid-day bite (ice cream, too).
The property is well-appointed and clean. We especially appreciated the comfy beds. The kitchen has all the equipment you need to make just about anything.
There are some good restaurants nearby. The Sunset Grille is a nice option right across the street from the property entrance (there is a crosswalk to the restaurant, which makes walking there easy. A short drive north is the Village Table and Tavern - great food and views, with live music (recommend making reservations there). The town of Duck is just south of the property. Though close, traffic in the evenings can make it difficult to get around, so with impatient young kids, we did not explore Duck as much as we would have liked to.

Great Family Vacation Home

Overall this is a great vacation home for a family. I have two kids that were both under 2 and this house was equipped with a high chair and baby gate for at the top of the stairs! It is also great in a way that it is right at the pool and so close to the beach. This home everything we needed and then some. The owners were also very nice by leaving us a bottle of wine! In regards to clean we were a little dissatisfied due to the fact that there was stuff on the trundle beds from previous people so we know they did not clean them and that made us wonder if our bedding was changed. Otherwise this is a great place and we would definitely stay again!

Convenient, Comfortable and Relaxing Stay

This was our second time at this rental. Always clean and very well appointed. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. I usually struggle sleeping I new places but these beds are so comfortable I easily fell asleep. The location is very convenient to shops, restaurants and other amenities. The large pool and convenient beach access were great.

Great location, spacious condo

Overall, my family enjoyed our stay at Hip Hip Hip Hooray. The community is walking distance from downtown Duck, and the condo provided plenty of space for our family of 4. The deck is nice and has a good view of the outdoor pool (and a peek at the beach off in the distance). I was a bit disappointed with the community facilities as the indoor pool was torn down (one of the reasons we felt comfortable booking for September) and the tennis courts were locked. Other than that, happy to have spent a week in lovely Duck!

September Getaway Hip Hip Hooray

This was our second stay at this rental. Loved it the first time and liked it even more because of some recent remodeling. Top end mattresses, bedding and linens. Kitchen fully equipped with appliances and dishes. Can’t wait to come back. FYI-states there is an indoor pool. No longer there.

We had a wonderful time!!! The unit we stayed in was beautiful and worked perfectly for our family.
We also loved the rec center and being able to borrow puzzles/games.
The only negative I can think of is the crabbing activity. We all gathered at the rec center, only to be told to drive to the sister resort. It would have been great to either have transportation provided or told ahead of time we had to drive, so I could have driven up to the rec center. Parking at Ocean Pines was minimal and there was little to no interaction with staff regarding the actual crabbing. No one even takes to my kids about what to do or how increase chances of catching a crab.
Also, the pool was too deep for young kids and the depth labeled at the pool was NOT accurate. Where it said it was 3 ft deep, it was actually closer to 5 ft. We worked it out, but it was stressful.
Overall, we loved it and definitely want to return next year!

Wonderful Outer Banks Vacation in Duck!

We had a great experience in BIS215. The unit is up-to-date and very clean. We love having a community pool only a few feet away and the ocean is just a few more feet beyond the pool.

Beautiful updated condo that made a lasting impression!

This condo has the most comfortable beds of any beach house we have ever stayed in. The linens they supplied are high quality, and were a pleasant surprise. The kitchen was more than suitable for our needs since we typically dined out for dinner. 2 Full bathrooms were perfect for our family of 3. The balcony was relaxing with high end patio furniture. Bedrooms are spacious with plenty of drawers for storage and getting ready. The family room sectional was very comfortable and the 3 smart tv’s were put to great use. The beach is visible from the balcony if standing, but you will need to head to the beach for a good view of the sunrise. The view of the sunset is beautiful from the entrance to the community. Pretty good location overall. Not directly across from shops but very close. If you go right out of neighborhood you do get a sidewalk. Great for those early morning walks. I hope to stay here again soon,
