Some of the goodies include the private in-ground pool w/heated option in the spring & fall weeks, the relaxing hot tub, the private volleyball court will help make some fun memories, or get your game on with the basketball goal. And this is just the cherry on top of the Sundae! There are updated flat screen TV's in every bedroom, almost every bedroom has a private bathroom, and the owners have thoroughly updated this beautiful home with a touch of coastal chic. And don't forget the best part of all, the ground level game area where the kids can have their own frig for snacks and drinks plus a Foosball table.

What else are you supposed to do during you week of fun in the sun, how about stroll into Duck for some of the best local cuisine in the Outer Banks or some shopping at one of the specialty boutiques. Amazing place. We absolutely loved it. Only one concern. The pool steps are extremely slippery and there is no rail. I slipped on the steps and severely bruised my side. I had a vet large contusion that is still healing. Adding a rail should be a priority

Main living area needs help

Our visit almost the end of summer season might explain dust bunnies under beds and closets. Furniture in living room needs replaced , not comfortable and cushions worn out. Beach theme not an excuse for worn out dining tables chairs . Very nice chairs outside and plenty of them. Pool and area around were very nice. Paint the fence around the pool. We had a very good time, great location. Lots of games and a great selection of books to read

We spent a wonderful week at Duck, NC. This house had ample space for all 15 of our family. The young adults enjoyed the spacious pool while the adults were within walking distance to the beach. The house was clean and nicely furnished with a tv in every room. We're planning to spend a week here next summer too.

The house was clean and nice just like last time we stayed there. When talking to your people everyone was nice and polite.
Now what I didn't like:
was no cable, Tv on internet where you needed subscriptions to HULU or Netflicks.
We lost internet for over a day (no TV see above)
One clothes washer (on left) would not work and dryer (on right) was very noise.
My son said toilet in bedroom (2nd floor closest to front) seemed to run a lot

We had a lovely stay at Dune Fine in April. It is spacious -- everyone in our family had their own room and we didn't even need the first floor bedrooms. We did not use the pool (too early in the season) and wound up not using the hot tub either so can't speak to either of those. It is a very short walk to the beach and the neighborhood clubhouse. Keyless entry was great because we never had to ask whether someone had grabbed a key each time we left the house.

Some thoughts if you are staying at Dune Fine: Bring beach chairs or rent from one of the local companies -- they are not provided with the home. Plenty of plates, cups, bowls, silverware, etc. at the house but we brought our own teflon grill and were glad we did. Some of the mattresses are stiff -- other reviewers have noted the same. The coffee makers work but wouldn't be surprised if they need to get replaced this year. Plenty of deck chairs at the pool and on the top-level deck. Very close -- walkable -- to Red Sky Cafe, Roadhouse Grill, Duck Donuts, Tullio's, Sound Feet Shoes, etc. but you'll want to bike or drive to go to Winks or the Waterfront Shops. The clubhouse has a second floor with a few treadmills, two ellipticals and two bikes, also limited dumbbells. The net on the tennis court was down while we were there so did not use the court.

This was our first time renting through Beach Realty and they were great. We had a good experience with them -- much better customer service than that unnamed rental company that dominates the local market. Beach Realty was responsive and attentive.

One final note: Beach Realty offers a veterans discount. I did not realize that until after our stay but will take advantage next time we rent from them.

Great Winter Getaway

We were very happy with our stay at Dune Fine this December. It was our first time staying in Duck and the location was truly superb. The hot tub was huge which was great for all the kids and walking distance to indoor pool.

Our only recommendation would be to provide the tool to open the door locks. We had a couple of instances when the kids locked the door from the outside and had to call maintenance to open.

A Fab, Commodious Rental Home in Just the Right Place

Dune Fine was mighty fine, indeed. On Duck Landing, you enjoy all its plentiful amenities, including Clubhouse, playground, tennis court, and indoor pool. You are very close to the ocean, so it's easy to join sunrise watchers as many days as you care to wake up that early. Heading away from the ocean, it's a short way to the main drag, the two-way street that meanders all along the island. AND it's only a couple blocks to the Bay boardwalk, with its refreshing breeze and many fun shops. While heading in that direction, you can check out what community activities are happening at the Duck Rec Center, offering group exercise sessions, special activities for children, music and so on.

And with 7 BRs each with its own private bath, it's really hard to find anything to complain about.

Had a very nice time

We arrived early and had the opportunity to spend time at the community pool after walking into Duck for lunch. That kept everyone busy while we waited for the house to be available. That was a bonus. The house was clean and nicely appointed. The pool area was nice and we had the pool heted which made the pool time nice for a rather cool week. The hot tub thermostat was not working and the tub was up to 112 degrees. We did call the company and the "POOL" guy came on Wednesday and fixed it so that it was comfortable for us to use it. The only other issue we had was that one of the bedspreads seemed to have some blood on it. We did not use it, but used one we brought from home. We had a great family vacation.

We really enjoyed our stay at Dune Fine - it had everything we wanted in a vacation home. We were disappointed that the jacuzzi in the upstairs master bedroom didn't work, especially since it rained a lot during our week. Its closeness to the beach and the added benefit of the community center privileges was definitely a plus for this house.

Dune Fine Fun

Our family had a wonderful time at Dune Fine in Duck, NC. The home had the room and space for our entire family and grandchildren. The pool and hit tub were used every moment of each day we visited. The home is a little older abs I need of some updates. The mattresses and box springs in the bedrooms definitely need replacing. Several bedrooms had stained sheets and the blankets / comforters did not fit the beds. A king size or queen size bed should have blankets that actually fit the bed. The home was perfectly located in the town of Duck with plenty of restaurants, shops and beach all within walking distance.

If you plan on renting Dune Fine you will enjoy yourself but just know the home needs some improvements.

A great time at Dune Fine in Duck, NC

We had a wonderful family vacation, filled with lifelong memories. The Realty was most helpful and very efficient. To make it perfect, I would suggest upgrading mattresses on several beds, grill was very dirty so we opted not to use it which was a bit disappointing, and both dishwashers were filled, but clean, when we arrived. However, none of these things stopped us from having a great experience and hope to return

Great Location, Great Property, Okay Maintenance

The property itself was very clean and was exactly as described including the layout and all amenities. It was a very spacious property and looks much larger once inside. The pool and hot tub were clean and worked well. The property itself is a short walk away from a good location on the beach. We loved being able to bring our dogs with us to the property and beach to share the fun experience. The property is also close to many restaurants and stores including grocery stores and local shops. We didn't use the volleyball net much but it was in good condition. Over all no complaints on the property and we would stay again. There are a-lot of bugs, haha as someone from out of state we did not expect so many little nats to fill the property at night (when we left a window open and light on). We had called maintenance the night it occurred because we thought there were thousands of mosquitos. Maintenance did answer the phone but failed to follow up, specifically the next morning when we had thousands of dead bugs on the walls and ceiling and we were unsure of what to do.

Great time. Roomy House. Well stocked kitchen. Overall very positive with just a few minor negatives:
Could have used some guide on the TV. Apparently limited to not much more than local stations - no CNN, ESPN, etc. (or couldn't find). Direct TV would drop out every now and then.
A few sluggish toilets.
Loved the cipher lock on the main door but the door was sticky.
Surprised that bathrooms were not stocked with toilet paper.
