Description

Located just 60 feet to the beach with no roads to cross! Get an ocean view from almost any room in the house for a semi-oceanfront price!

The ground level of the home features a huge rec room with pool table and table tennis conversion top, sitting area, bedroom with full bath, and patio area with a hot tub.

The second level of the home has a master bedroom with full bath. 2 bedrooms with a Jack and Jill full bath, a large laundry room and ocean view decking off of two of the bedrooms!

The top level of the home features an open floor plan and is incredibly light and bright. The kitchen is open and large and looks over the dining area and family room. Enjoy the gas fireplace, huge outdoor decking with fabulous ocean views and seating. The kids can be loud downstairs in the game room while you enjoy a quiet evening view on the upper deck! Don't let Fido miss the fun, bring him too!

Other amenities include Alarm Clocks, Iron and Ironing Board, Ping Pong Conversion Table and 6 Cable TVs.

With all this, and just a 30 second walk to the beach, it really doesn't get any better than this.

BU stay on OBX

We had a great time at the beach. The BU was a really nice house. We loved how close to the beach it was. Some suggestions are to put a dish rack in the kitchen. The master bedroom tv did not work (Both not a big problem). There was a plastic cup with cigarette butts on the second level deck that was gross wish it was cleaned up prior to visit. The kitchen was well supplied and excellent. Beds were very good. All in all it was a great week.

Perfection Locaton for Kids!

This is our 4th year renting The BU and we have aleady signed up for next year, too. The location is everything to us - access to the beach is steps away, view of ocean from the deck is awesome, and it's not that far from Fishheads. The cottage is always clean, neat, and well-stocked. Our family loves the downstairs area; once the little ones are tucked away, we spend the rest of the evening playing pool and hot tubbing! Highly recomond, especially familes with small children.

Awesome ocean front views in an ocean side house,

We love this house!

This is our second year at this house and we have already booked again for next year! It fits our family perfectly! The location to the beach is the best, especially for my grandchildren and dogs. Restfull retreat!

My husband and I had a wonderful time here! We brought our 2 dogs and they had a great time running with us through the waves. The home is in a great location amd was extremely clean when we arrived. There were just a few things that should be addressed. The toaster is a 4 slice but only one side works. The stove needs to be leveled off, trying to cook on it was challenging because everything would roll to the front of the pans. We couldn't use the grill because the utensils are kept outside with it and they are rusted. Also, a few fluffy pillows on the sectional would help greatly with comfort. Again, we had a wonderful, restful vacation and would definitely come back! Thise little things didn't take away from our great experience, just thought we'd bring it to your attention.

Wonderful, Windy Vacation

Weather wasn’t as nice as we had hoped but that didn’t stop us from enjoying the house and wonderful location as much as we could. House was well-kept and stocked for whatever we needed, including a margarita machine! Room setup was great and the beds were very comfortable! The short walk over the dune was wonderful for the kids to just go and play. We also loved the long stretches of sidewalks for our daily walks. Hope to come back and stay next year!

BFF's Working from Beach Trip

Had a great time. Kitchen is well stocked with anything you could want or need. Had an issue w a sliding door locking and upstairs family room TV, but called and they sent someone immediately to fix. Loved the hot tub and fireplace. Very calming listening to the waves. Great location!!

Perfect Beach House

This house was so comfortable and accommodating for two families (four children). New Years Getaway - 2020 !

We spent the week of New Years 2020 at this home and had a wonderful time. The area is terrific for family, very residential and thus relaxing. The house was just as pictured, super clean, and the people we really easy to get in touch with, regarding questions before arrival. Once we got closer to our vacation time there was a hospitality app which made things really easy for checking in and all information about the area and house, we were even able to check out with a simple click of a button in the app. Also, we vacationed with our 2 relatively big dogs and the carpet on the stairs and the landings between floors made it easy for our basset hound, short legged and not a good stair climber, to get up and down throughout the visit.

Family Spring Break 2019

Our family stayed at The Bu 4\20\19 - 5\4\19 and would recommend staying there again. The house is well maintained and the kitchen is equipped with everything you may need, but the house needs a dum-waiter to get your groceries to the 3rd floor! We would recommend that the owners replace all the bed mattresses -- you can't hide a bad mattress by putting 4 inches of foam on top of it!
We are thankful our stay was before the beach nourishment project started. The project started at Proteus Ct. beach access late afternoon on 5\3\19;it was very interesting to watch till you realized your beach access would be blocked by flood lights and 4 dozers pushing sand pumped on to the beach 24 hours a day! On the brightside the beach will be beautiful after the project is completed.

One of Our Favorite OBX Homes

Two weeks of R&R

First time staying at The BU, loved it! We were fortunate enough to stay for two weeks and the house was amazing, it had everything we needed and more. We like to cook and the kitchen was fully stocked and it was great that it opened up to the living room and views were great. All the bedrooms were a nice size and the family room was a huge hit, especially when we had a little rain. Access to the beach was a short walk and easy access, loved it as we spent all day there. Will definitely come back to this house, can't wait. The only issue was the parking, it was a bit of a challenge to get 4 cars parked, but we did manage to make it work. Thank the owners for a great vacation!

Great location right near the beach

We had a great vacation staying at this property overall. It was right near the beach as promised and this was great for us having young kids. More than enough room for at least one family and amenities for the week. We were a little disappointed in the cleanliness of the floors and general areas, although it was a fairly minor inconvenience. The only other qualm was that the TV's were not the easiest to use and get working all the time, but again this was a relatively small item. You can't beat the location though and it is well situated if you'd like to go into Nags Head or Kitty Hawk and even making a day trip down to Hatteras. Recommended, especially if you want quick easy access to the beach for your vacation.

Wonderful Holiday Escape

We had a fantastic week long stay at The Bu over the holidays. This is our second time at this property and we would definitely return. The view and beach access alone makes it worth the stay. The kitchen is fully stocked, pool table, table tennis and hot tub were great to have, the keyless entry was a wonderful convenience and the beds were extremely comfortable. Being able to bring our dog was the icing on the cake. Thank you for a great stay!

Overall we had a wonderful stay at The BU. We arrived about an hour early and called property management receiving permission to enter the rental early. This was extremely nice as we had been on a the road for 8 hrs.
The home was in great location, we (and our dog) enjoyed our time even more because this time of year few other people were on the beach. The view of the ocean was great and we also enjoyed several nightly pool games. Although my game didn’t improve, we give the home high marks for the pool table, chairs for beach use and the hot tub. We had lots of day trips including lighthouses, Wright brothers Museum and Jockeys Ridge. Ron even caught a couple of trout!

We rented the Bu for a week in early August 2017. Our party consisted of three families (Myself, my wife and 3 year old son; my brother, his wife and their 2 children ages 2 and 8; and my parents). This house fit our needs for the week perfectly. Very spacious and well appointed, and right on the beach. It is in South Nags Head, so you have a little drive if you want to hit the shopping or restaurants, but the quieter pace was just what our group was looking for. We visit the Outer Banks about every other summer, and we liked it so much that The Bu is certainly at the top of the list for our next trip south.

awesome beach house and view

The house was very clean, everyroom in the house was what the pictures showed. It was beautiful.I was so happy that they allowed pets, our Lab just loved the beach, I hated to leave!!! everyone around us was very polite, The hot tub was maintained at least 2 times that we stayed there it was very clean, Loved how close the steps were to the beach. Best Beach Bargain in Off-Season - Pet Friendly!

We loved The Bu. The house is fully equipped. The view and beach access are wonderful. The ping pong net was broken, but we rigged it up so we could play and there was only one ping pong ball. The house has nice furniture and the unit was nice and clean when we arrived. We can't wait to return.

Perfect Christmas Vacation

Absolutely perfect place to vacation for winter. The house was in a great location with marvelous ocean views and a short drive to activities in Nags Head, Kitty Hawk and Manteo. The house was extremely well equipped--best in out 18 years of coming to the Outer Banks. The kitchen not only had everything we needed--including 2 coffee makers--everything was high end and great quality. Each room had its own TV and cable access. The beds and pillows were very good, with plenty of blankets. We loved the gas fire place, the big breakfast bar, the big dining table. Out kids used the pool table and ping pong table constantly. The grill was in good condition. We also commend Beach Realty for making our stay over the holiday weekend work so well; even though it was a holiday, they were really attentive. The keyless entry was a great feature so we could arrive late on Christmas night. Our kids are already asking us to book this again for next year.

Steps to the beach

Great location and steps to the beach. Pool table/table tennis was a great hit with the kids. House was wonderful although it was a little sparing with cookware if you plan to do some cooking while at the beach. The matress I slept on definitely needs a replacement as it was like sleeping on the floor. I am typically one for a firm mattress but this was beyond firm. As always this home is a pleasure to stay in for the week and there were only minor observations this year compared to our previous stays. The initial condition of the home was not as clean as previous years. No one had dusted and other minor cleaning issues. There were ants in the kitchen not extensive but should be addressed to avoid a bigger problem. The keyless entry system was not set up with the correct code to support our early check-in time and then could not be corrected until having a technician come to the house. Not the best way to start the week.

BEST VACATION OF MY LIFE SO FAR

OK so I don't get to vacation more than once a year, but this was the best vacation thus far. Who doesn't love time at the beach? Well it's even better when you've rented a fantastic house. We rented a total of 8 houses for a family vacation at the outer banks this year, of those 8 houses I visited them all and personally thought none compared to this one, the Bottoms Up! Overall finish and comfort was better than home. View was perfect. And it's right on the beach so it's convenient. 1054 doesn't have a pool, but that didn't matter to us. It's fairly centrally located so you can easily explore north to south with home in the middle. Nothing like waking up and eating breakfast on a third floor balcony watching a dolphin pod!

A Wonderful Location, House, and View

Had such an amazing time in January with my husband and dog. The house could use a bit of paint on the outside, but inside it is well cared for, well stocked, and above our expectations. Highly recommend. The downside was our hot tub broke down repeatedly. It seemed to be an odd situation, as it kept coming on and off intermittently.The first time, maintenance came out and it was working within hours. The second time, maintenance never came to our knowledge. By later the following day, it was up and running again. Wish we could have enjoyed it our last day, though.

3 Nights of Christmas at The BU

We had a wonderful time! The property had all we could even think of needing with the kitchen fully stocked and labeled clearly. The weather contributed to our fantastic beach front stay, but even if we had bad weather, there was plenty to do with the movies, games, books, hot tub and game room! We brought our dogs and the property was set up great with minimal carpeting, making the place feel very clean even though I'm sure many dogs pass through. Beds were very comfortable and we slept like babies with the sounds of the ocean.

We had a wonderful time in this home. The views were great, the house was easy to get to and we were immediately comfortable in our surroundings. The first level provided much entertainment in the way of a hot tub, pool table, table tennis and a TV. The middle level contained all the bedrooms as well as a washer and dryer. We all enjoyed our rooms and beds. The top level provided gorgeous views of the ocean, a spacious kitchen and even more spacious living area perfect for chatting, football game watching, and game playing. Each bathroom had one roll of toilet paper provided and there was a roll of paper towels in the kitchen as well, more than we expected. The one thing we did not like is the fact that you have to drive back to a Beach Realty office to drop off keys to the home, which is a major inconvenience when out of your way (a total of 50 minutes out of mine). The realty company should have a drop box at the house to make it more convenient for guests. All in all, a great home to rent.

Weekend Retreat

We stayed at the BU for President's Day weekend and had such a great time! The house was beautiful, the fireplace and hot tub were key in February, and the location right on the beach couldn't have been any better. It was perfect!
