The spacious living room boasts an impressive surround sound system and an abundance of seating for family gathering. The lower level Rec room acts as a youngsters oasis with Foosball, a flat screen TV and plenty of space for lounging. The main attraction (the BEACH) is just 500 feet away and after a long day of catching rays (or waves) don't worry about climbing the stairs! This home has the added bonus of having an elevator for your tired beach legs!

This home is centrally located in the heart of Kill Devil Hills making dining and shopping convenient for every vacationer. Just miles from the Wright Brothers Memorial, the history buff in your crowd will enjoy the monument our area is so well known for.

This house was beautiful, nice layout, kitchen had everything needed included plastic storage containers.
We did not use the hot tub because our week was too hot but the pool was great!

Another great year At Bre Ale

We spent another wonderful year at the Bre Ale. I believe its 5 straight years at this great house. We love this house and it always feels like we are at home during our stay. The place has a perfect design for living. The kitchen is fully stocked and spacious with a table for 10. Having the elevator for our family is a necessity and it addresses all of our needs. The pool was wonderful this year since the weather was so hot and the pool temp was perfect. Beach Reality does a great job of getting this place ready and responsive to any issues but the house is always in A-1 condition. That is why we are renting again in 2024.

A Beautiful Gem in the OBX

A wonderful property in a central location in Kill Devil Hills. Well appointed with quality furnishings, an elevator and great audio visual equipment. Three items from my point of view, there needs to be a landing at the front door, hard to handle luggage and groceries, no K cup coffee maker, hand held showers would be a help. Otherwise a great property, pool, hot tub and location. Another plus when you leave the property in either direction there are traffic signals to get on main highway.

The house was clean. The kitchen was well stocked with pans, cups, utensils etc. The pool and hot tub are very nice options if not wanting to go to the beach. The elevator was awesome for my mom who does not get around well due to Parkinsons, without it she would not have been able to make the trip. Highly recommend this house for your beach stay.

Home Away From Home

This was our 4th straight year staying at this house. It was a wonderful stay as usual. Pool was great although I thought in previous years someone came to treat and clean the pool midweek but not this year. But it didn't prevent us from enjoying the pool on hot days. Having been at this house for several years allowed us to be more comfortable with the layout. The elevator worked fine and with several people needing to use it it was key in having a comfortable and safe stay. Our family enjoys this place so much it feels like our home away from home that we booked again for 2023.

The overall vacation experience was amazing. We had a few bumps in the road when our first house we rented got pulled off the rental, but the staff worked so hard finding us this house and it was meant to be. The location and house was wonderful! We couldn’t ask for a better experience for our family.

The house was perfect and very clean. The kitchen has everything you need to cook! Plus this house has an elevator, a life saver for people with mobility issues. The pool wasn’t working during our stay, so that was a little disappointing. But the rental agency kept sending out people to try and fix it. The location is great close to stores and restaurants yet when in the home you still feel away from it all.. There are so many great beach access points only a block or two away with easy parking. Really enjoyed our stay!

Great first OBX experienc!

Bre Ale’s Lighthouse made for a great first experience in the OBX! The house layout was great, everything we needed was there! The location was exceptional! This will not be our last stay here!

My only “complaint” would be that the rental company leave more toilet paper/paper towel. There weren’t even enough rolls for each bathroom.

Summer Home

This was the third year in a row for our family at this property. The property was clean, as was the pool. Elevator worked which was a necessity for slightly disabled folks. The place is in between route 12 and 158 so ideal for getting to restaurants, groceries, etc. The property is in very good condition, AC worked fine as well as the the TVs, internet, etc. we already booked for next year but anyone wanting a great home to stay in would do well to select this house.

Comfortable house, good location

The layout of the house was very good, you didn’t hear noise from the lower level to the top. We didn’t use the elevator except to move everything in and out, so we got plenty of exercise. The pool is great when you have small children who get tired on the hot beach. We had all the essentials in the kitchen, although the frying pans could be replaced. It’s nice having so many outdoor spaces (porches) for anyone who wants to get way to read.
The unit was nice and clean when we arrived.

Great vacation at Bre Ale's Lighthouse

My family enjoyed our stay at Bre Ale's Lighthouse. The location was a very short walk to the beach and walking distance to restaurants and other amenities. The pool was on the smaller side but still nice. Pool furniture could use updating but was in decent condition. The home was very clean, kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pots, pans, etc. Overall, a very nice stay.

We have been coming to the Outerbanks since 1980 and have stayed at a number of different properties. This was our first stay at this property and it was one of the best. It has a great floor plan and is in excellent condition, almost like new. The pool was clean and AC worked fine even on a couple of very hot days. Kitchen and living areas are very wide open and the kitchen is well stocked. Only odd thing we found was the kitchen sink does not have a garbage disposal. Elevator worked great however it does not start at the street level so one has to navigate 6 steps into the house as well as down to the pool. This added a little difficulty for us with minor disabilities but still manageable. It has a wonderful covered deck off the second level over looking the pool with stairs that lead directly to the pool. Location is within walking distance to the beach access. Some of Pool chairs are not in the best condition and a little flimsy but overall this was a great property and our family of 7 had a wonderful time staying here so we reserved to come back next year.

Beach Week

We were very pleased with this property! It really felt more like a home than a rental property. It is well maintained and the kitchen is nicely stocked with all the essentials. Also, it is great that there are so many chairs and side tables at the pool and on the decks. The pool shower area with hot and cold water was a bonus also. The beach access is convenient - would recommend renting one of the beach carts with large wheels to help on the walk to the beach. The property management was very responsive when the elevator needed reset after a storm. We recommend this property for a great place to vacation.

The staff at Beach Realty was pleasant and helpful. The home was as described. If you don’t stay on the ocean, this home was the next best location for us, between the beach road and the bypass, closer to the less traveled and quieter beach road, 2 block walk. Very quiet neighborhood and walking/biking distance to eateries, convenience stores, grocery store, tiki bar & grill, etc. Our only disappointment was the crummy small charcoal grill. Otherwise the pool area, large bedrooms, living area with comfy furniture & well equipped kitchen were great. Great decks, limited but at least a view of ocean. Def would stay again.

The Francis family vacation

We enjoyed our vacation very much everything was very clean the house was great. The only problem was the air conditioning on the third floor, when it was around 80 degrees outside it could not keep up and was usually 8 degrees higher than what we set it on which was usually 72. Other than that it was great. Thanks

bre ale's lighthouse

We were very happy with our place. If we ever go back to the Outer Banks, I would stay here. The elevator was the bomb. The private pool also was so very nice. You can tell they put thought into this house when they redid it. We left them a nice review in their guest book as well. Out air-conditioner could have been a problem as it went out about 4:00 on SAturday, we called the rental place to inform them, no one came out to fix it on Saturday and we were leaving on Sunday.
