Bear Inn - C9039

Beautiful spot, everything was wonderful!

We absolutely loved the house and the decor. Everything was so comfortable and I felt at home. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud. We really appreciate the well stocked kitchen. Y'all had everything we needed for the week. The hot tub was amazing after walking on the beach and climbing the lighthouse stairs! The puzzles and cards were a very nice touch during the bad weather. All the extra blankets for napping during the rain was a thoughtful touch. Our little dogs loved the dunes and enjoyed running on them off leash. We appreciate having access to the beach chairs and the really nice grill. We had to rescue the grill cover during the storm. The gazebo was really really nice except for all the sand piled up after 3 days of high winds and such a bad storm with heavy rain. (When we arrived on Saturday the gazebo wasn’t like that, the wind and rain started Sunday.) It would be nice to have access to a water hose at the gazebo to clean everything off. The little portal to the ocean through the dunes was absolutely beautiful. We think you need to change the house water filter more often. We used bottled water for everything, from cooking to brushing our teeth and for the dog water. I wasn’t able to make a salad because I didn’t have enough bottled water to wash everything. In 2023 we came for my wife’s birthday, brought our youngest son and his family and my mother-in-law. The house we stayed in wasn’t this nice, it was older and needed a remodel. Our 11-year-old granddaughter had to share a room with her great-grandmother. That wouldn’t have been an issue in your house. This was my retirement vacation and it was great. It was just the two of us and our tiny dogs. We had the best time despite the 3 days of bad weather. Our little dogs enjoyed the house as well. Thank you so much. If we come back we’ll rebook at this house for sure!

This is our 4th time staying at Bear Inn. We love it here. The place was exceptionally clean upon arrival. The kitchen is the best equipped kitchen of any place I have ever stayed. There is no need to bring beach chairs as they have plenty of nice chairs. Beds are comfortable. The house was very comfortable for our family of 8. We had a brief time without water and the ;Water Man; contractor was immediately at our house to repair the pump. I would highly recommend staying at Bear Inn!

Great home, great location. Home was beautiful and well decorated. Horses around the house at all hours of the day and night.

This was our second time staying at Bear Inn. I was worried things might have changed with the new owners, but to our surprise everything was just how we remembered it, if not better. I was disappointed to see the same old gas grill and no longer see the charcoal grill. Last we cooked over charcoal because the gas grill would not cook our food. This year I removed the flame guards and cooked directly over the flames and had no problem until the last day when I went to change out the propane tank and realize

The house was very clean and was equipped with everything you could need. We were able to see horses daily, which was a big plus! The location was wonderful and I would definitely recommend this place well done! We hope to be back soon to enjoy another year!
Manager Response: How special it is you got to see our wild horses each day! We look forward to your return Marylynn!

Enjoyed our stay at Bear Inn and will definitely be back!
Manager Response: Susan, we look forward to hosting you again for your next Outer Banks vacation! It is great knowing you had a nice stay at Bear Inn!

This rental did not disappoint. The house is amazing and is everything as described in the listing. I would book it again if I ever go back to OBX. The 4x4 beach area is less crowded than the other beaches. Definitely a five star rating!!!!
Manager Response: We are so happy to hear you enjoyed your stay at Bear Inn! We hope to see you soon on the Outer Banks!

Our 6th time staying at Bear Inn. Still enjoy this house and location.
Manager Response: Randy, we are glad you have enjoyed so many vacations at Bear Inn! We'll see you next year for lucky #7!

Absolutely loved this vacation spot. The house is perfectly set up and stocked. The gazebo was a favorite spot for meals and sunrises. There were horses all around us and came in our yard on our last day. This is a vacation that my granddaughter will remember for a lifetime. The 4x4 beach was challenging at times but added a sense of adventure and fun that we all enjoyed. Thanks for the memories!

We have stayed in this home multiple times and its definitely our favorite! It is perfect for us. We enjoy the homes layout and the walkway to the beach. Kitchen is well stocked. Beds super comfy. Horses normally daily however this visit with the new build next door, not so much. We will be returning again to our home away from home!
Manager Response: Thank you Jamie for your feedback. Bear Inn is truly a breathtaking property and we are glad you and your family have made it your home away from home.

Love this little place. Cozy and clean and sits right on the beach. Comfortable for four to six adults and dog friendly. The walkway and gazebo are a special treat. Spend some time on the gazebo on your first night, in order to get physically, mentally and emotionally oriented for your stay.
Manager Response: We are so happy to hear that you enjoyed the home and your time in the Outer Banks! Thanks for sharing your review with us and we hope to see you again next year!

We had an amazing time at the Bear Inn. The house was very cleaned and pretty well stocked. The grill was a little wonky, and we had a bit of a problem grilling meals, but otherwise everything was great! We saw the wild horses and spent every day on the beach! A wonderful vacation and we definitely hope to come back.

Manager Response: Thank you Kelly! Bear Inn is a wonderful cottage and we're glad to hear that you enjoyed your vacation.

Great memories were made at Bear Inn! Saw lots of wild horses, dolphins, and a rainbow. Great location. Only complaint was dog hairs on pillows, beds, bedding, furniture and trundles required that we sweep the entire home upon arrival. Had to do some bedding laundry too when we arrived due to dog hairs.
Manager Response: Thank you for sharing your experience. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed the home and your time in the Outer Banks. We apologize that the housekeeping missed the mark and will

Bear Inn was the perfect rental for our beach vacation! Beautifully renovated, open concept, extremely clean and comfortable. It was 100% stocked with basic essentials too. I will definitely rent this specific house again!
Manager Response: Thank you for your review. We hope to welcome you back to the beach very soon!

This was our third time staying in Bear Inn. We love this house and location. Plan to be back next year!

This vacation was a family gathering and we had an amazing experience. The house included everything we needed and we saw lots of wild horses exceeding our expectations. On the beach, we also saw turtles, crabs, and dolphins swimming in the ocean.

I dont want to tell people how great this place is... it was really perfect... beautiful and very nicely decorated and comfortable. It would be pretty crowded with 12 people there... I will be back!

Third time at Bear Inn! We love this home! Already booked again for next October! Was sad when we thought you had stopped renting it and then found it with Beach Realty. It is perfect for us and our four legged child. Love the walkway to the beach. Kitchen is perfectly stocked. Bedrooms are beautifully designed and comfortable! Wouldn’t change or recommend a thing! We will be spending our honeymoon there in one year! And plan to continue to come back yearly to celebrate every anniversary!

Wow! what a beautiful home and location! The home was very clean and was everything it was advertised to be. Our favorite spot was the gazebo. We stayed out there almost everyday watching the ocean and the horses. The nighttime was beautiful with all the stars in the sky. We have been staying in the Carova Beach area for several years and I have to say this home is our favorite place!
Manager Response: The owner takes pride in providing their guests the best experience and I am sure they will love

We love this cottage. Our second time staying in Bear Inn. The house is so well stocked, the owners have thought of ever thing. The home was and has always been extremely clean. There was a slight issue this stay with the bottom step of the boardwalk where the last step was missing. Caused some difficultly stepping down and nails were exposed. Other than that everything was perfect.
