True paradise living located 7 miles north on Carova beach. A quiet and relaxing vacation awaits you in this extensively remodeled 6 bedroom 4 bath home. The top floor offers generous space with beautiful furniture and bright wood floors offering both a comfortable and beautiful area for the family to gather with a view of the Atlantic Ocean as a backdrop. The kitchen has stainless steel appliances and there are flat screen TVs throughout.

The smart design and layout provides large eastern facing windows to allow healthy natural light to flood the upper level. Enjoy the sunrise from the multilevel wrap around decks or spy some of the most famous residents of Carova: the legendary heard of wild Spanish mustangs as they graze on the dunes or frolic by the sea.

With the 14'x28' private pool and the multiple levels of decking there is ample outdoor space with breathtaking views of the ocean. If you are itching to sink your toes into the warm sand by the ocean, this semi-ocean front home is a short walk to the beach and of course, should you choose to take advantage of one of the greatest benefits of the 4 wheel drive beaches, you can load up your vehicle with everything the family will need for a day on the most pristine and remote beaches on the northern Outer Banks.

Appreciated the upgrades

This was our 2nd year staying here, and it was great! The new pool and deck furniture was much appreciated, and the new fence is lovely! The only negative that we encountered was the washing machine (and I assume continual sand and the water take their toll, so no fault of the owner/management)- it takes ages to do a cycle of laundry! We've already booked our stay for 2026!

Great house!

The location of this house was pristine. A literal 1 minute drive to the beach. Beautiful pool. Plenty of space. Beautiful house all around. Only suggestions would be to implement smart tv's in at least the game room and the great room. Also, the propane tank was a little low when we got there so I would recommend a full tank for each stay

We had a great get away. If you love the horses this house would be great for you. They stayed on the yard for 4 days. When we got there pool and hottub was gross but they responded quickly ( and fixed them. (Most chairs around pool are broken so bring your own) The house could've been cleaner f(found trash under chairs, beds, and in corners) we had an water heater problem the whole time and called it in twice with no one showing up. We had to flip the breaker to turn many times a day. Which was aggravat

Escape from reality

We had a great time. We planned this last January when we were unsure how the pandemic would play out. We were quite happy with this decision and felt it was a covid safe. Some reviews mentioned lack of cleanliness, we found the inside of the home clean. The outside is weathered but wed expect that for the age of home and location. Our dog enjoyed morning walks/swim on beach and we enjoyed the pool every afternoon. We were perfectly relaxed and content.

Good times.

Our first time to OBX so nothing to compare it to but we loved the isolation of no crowds. House was lovely and we loved seeing the horses every day in the yard. Quick walk to the beach and we loved the pool. Only thing we would have liked was a larger or second grill.

MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A 4x4 VEHICLE. AN ALL WHEEL DRIVE VEHICLE WILL GET STUCK ON THE BEACH. 10 MILES OF BEACH DRIVING EACH WAY TO THIS HOUSE. WE ENJOYED THE HOUSE.

Stayed a week in September

The house was very nice and had plenty of room for the 7 adults and 2 children in our group. We saw horses all week. At times we were unable to drive down the beach into town because of the high tides. This had a lot to do with the storm that was coming in. The beaches were not crowded. The decks on the house provided a nice view of the area. Overall, great house and a great week spent on the 4x4 beach.

The swartzentruber vacation

We were very happy with this home pool was fairly private and well suited for the children. Location was great had easy access to the beach and there wasn't to many houses around us.the only thing we were disappointed with the kitchen was on the third floor which made for a lot of work lugging our food supply up but that wouldn't keep us from doing it again.

Perfect vacation home for multiple families

Short drive or walk to the beach. The horses were in our yard daily. Nice ocean views. Beautiful pool area. The only downfall that I can think of is that the home provides only one refrigerator. With large groups and the limited access to ice that made keeping enough beverages cold challenging.

We had a wonderful vacation. Home is beautifully decorated and spacious. We enjoyed the proximity to the beach (a short walk over the dunes), the pool, and the hot tub. The beach was very clean and we enjoyed morning walks. This rental is located 7 miles north on 4x4 Carova Beach. We had a relaxing vacation.

The house was great - lovely decor. Wonderful location. Could use some more forks! Also, towels provided by Rental Management were old and stained. These should definitely be upgraded since you are paying a fee for them.

Great Home on Corova Beach

We had a great week at Almost Paradise. We were able to check in a tad early which was a huge plus bc we had small children. The home looked just as it did in the photos. It was clean and well maintained. The pool and hot tub were great. There is no home in front of Almost Paradise so the ocean views were great and there is a walking path to the beach right outside the front door so it made jogging back for a missed beach item very easy. The rental company was pleasant and easy to work with. When we come back to OBX we will likely stay here again.

Great vacation, home needed some TLC and there were some issues with the cleanliness of the house. The Wifi didn't work and some televisions didn't work. Also there was so much horse **** all over the property pretty gross. Will be visiting again but not going through this rental agency. Not impressed.Wish there was more information given about where this house was located, we were on milemarker 20 and trying to find it in the dark was not pleasant.
