Beach Realty Check-in Procedures
Beach Realty offers contact-free, keyless entry check-in, without having to visit a rental office. Keyless entry check-in begins as soon as the property has been cleaned, inspected, and deemed ready for occupancy (between 4pm and 6pm on day of arrival). You will be notified via text when your property is ready for check-in. *If early check-in was confirmed and purchased, your home will be ready by 1:00pm. Although we make every effort to prepare the home in a timely manner, due to the logistics of turnover day preparations, we reserve the right to delay check-in in order to perform maintenance or special cleaning on your rental property until 6 pm.
We release keyless entry codes to the leaseholder three days prior to arrival, provided the Vacation Rental agreement is signed and reservation is paid in full. We will not release keyless entry codes to anyone other than the leaseholder unless we receive written permission from the leaseholder to do so.
If you arrive before designated check-in time, please do not go to the property, as this will delay the preparations for your arrival; instead please touch base with us via call or text at 800-635-1559 - and we will add you to our text alert system to be notified as soon as the home is ready for arrival. In the case your property is ready early, you will be notified and we will provide a temporary keyless entry code for early access. If you do not hear from us before 6PM, you may proceed to the property at that time.
Guest Welcome Packet
Your guest welcome packet will be emailed to you on the morning of your arrival. It contains helpful check-in information, trash pick up schedule and departure instructions. You may also download a copy here.

Visit an Outer Banks Landmark
The Outer Banks has no shortage of cool things to see! From fishing piers, lighthouses, the Wright Brothers Memorial, and much more! Some landmarks, like the Wright Brothers Memorial and Jockey's Ridge, are pet-friendly. Be careful at both locations for sand spurs and hot surfaces.
Spend Some Time on The Beach
You obviously came to enjoy the beautiful Outer Banks beaches! Why not enjoy them while waiting for your home to be ready. This is a great option if you have pets with you as well.

Go Shopping
Check-in day is one of the busiest days to go shopping, so it may not be for the faint of heart! If you are going to pick up groceries before your home is ready, please make sure that you have a cooler to keep perishable items cold while you wait. Don't forget your toiletry products, paper products (paper towels, etc), herbs and spices, etc. Our homes are not stocked with those items. For souvenirs, beach gear, bathing suits, and more just ride along HWY 158 or RT. 12 (the beach road) and there are many great places to stop and shop.
