Town of Nags Head Attractions

Nags Head Fishing Pier is one of the oldest and longest surviving piers on the Outer Banks. You’ll love the convenience of their on-site restaurants (yes there are two!) and a bait and tackle shop. Located at Mile Post 11.5 on the beach road.

Under new management in 2026 - renovations are finished and include:

  • Fishing Pier & Tackle Shop: Pier passes, bait and fishing supplies right on site.
  • Pier House Cafe: Breakfast, lunch, dinner, drinks and ocean views.
  • Off the Hook Beach Bar: Cocktails, draft beer and live music at the edge of the beach.
  • Beaches & Cream: Hand-scooped ice cream, shakes, coffee and grab-and-go food.
