Great Place to stay
This house was awesome! Short walk to the beach, rooftop pool and hot tub was awesome, living space was great to play games and hangout, pool on the 1st floor was great to swim in while it was raining, house was well stocked!

Lots of space
Great living area for many to gather on the main 3rd floor dinning/kitchen area and family room. Kitchen is big enough that you can have multiple people preparing food without getting in each other's way. Never used the indoor lap pool as it was not heated. Lots of parking for cars and great beach access.

Great beach access, great amenities, huge rooms
We opted for early check in and it was ready a few minutes before 1:00, still perfectly clean, which, due to beach front location, gave us a bonus afternoon on the beach. The views from the roof and jacuzzi are spectacular, but sunrise also beautiful from back deck. Kitchen has everything you need, including a large drawer of plastic storage containers, 2 full refridgerators(plus another in the ground floor). Spring break at the Thunderbird
Since we were at the beach early April, the weather was up and down. The house was very nice. It was very clean. I was disappointed that the in-door pool was not available to use. I would definitely book this property again.

2nd time renting this location. 1st was 3 years ago for my 40th birthday, this time was just a family getaway. Both times here it was phenomenal. Plenty of room,everything was clean,and whole rental process was simple. As long as this property is available this is where we will be staying in OBX

All the views- All the fun! Would absolutely rent again!!
The photos don't really do the home justice. Yes, it's an older home but it really didn't matter.
Each bedroom is huge. The second-floor bedroom had very squeaky springs causing guests to sleep elsewhere when maintenance never responded to two calls over 3 days. The guests fixed it by adjusting "bunky" boards under the mattress.
We LOVE to cook. The kitchen had every amenity even an Instapot. More than enough of everything. Several coffee makers plus a Keurig.
The AC stayed cool.

Oceanfront with beautiful views and indoor swimming too!
We have stayed at The Thunderbird several times and it never disappoints. The views, the easy access to the beach, indoor and outdoor pools and hot tubs, master bedrooms with king beds- it's a great place to relax! The furnishings aren't new and some updates are needed, but our family has made great memories here.

Great OBX week in The Thunderbird!
The Thunderbird is in a fantastic location. Its within walking distance of Jeanettes Pier and quite a few great restaurants to include ;The Dunes Restaurant, Sam & Omies, Owens Restaurant, and for dessert FatBoyz Ice Cream. Cahoons Grocery store is also a short walk and they make some awesome subs.
The Thunderbird is a unique home with a rooftop pool and rooftop hot tub. The rooftop hot tub offers fantastic views in all directions. Many mornings were enjoyed watching the sunrise from the rooftop.

Great house!
This house was really unique. Ive never stayed in a house quite like this but I loved it!! There was a ton of room! There was a finished garage right at the entry level which was great for storage during the week. The indoor pool was a really cool amenity, especially for the kids. Location was perfect!! The roof top hot tub and deck area were breath taking! We spent most nights up there. The views were unbelievable! Oh and the maintenance people responded quickly when the hot tub stopped working. The Thunderbird is an Awesome Home!
We had an awesome stay at The Thunderbird - it is such a nice house. We really enjoyed watching the sunsets and dolphins from the roof top. The location is convenient to everything we were wanting to do. Our four year old Granddaughter is ready to come back next year - and so is everyone else! Everyone had a wonderful time. Thank you "The Thunderbird" for giving us such an enjoyable vacation!

Great Location!
We n had a wonderful time! Location was great. Close to everything! The house has a lot of great amenities. Love the rooftop deck. The house could use some TLC....paint and some updating. Overall a great vacation!

A week of family time ��

5th year in the books!

One of the best deals in Nags Head
Honestly a wonderful property that will stay with you long after you've left. Ideal for our party with a number of children that very much enjoyed the pool, hottub, rooftop terrace, pool table and the closeness to the beach. Highly recommended - we absolutely loved it!

Panoramic views of OBX!
We all really enjoyed our stay at The Thunderbird. My family of 17 had plenty of room to spread out -- to enjoy our time together, or escape for a minute. ;) The rooftop view was breathtaking, and beach access so convenient. We'd all love to do it again. Thanks for everything.

Thunderbird Nags Head
The Thunderbird is an amazing property! The location can't be beat. Easy walk to restaurants and several shops. The home's amenities are awesome...2 pools and a hot tub with a spectacular view from the rooftop. The home itself is dated and could use some updating but overall the location, pools and hot tub make it a wonderful place for a large family gathering.

This home has great spaces and views in a very Convenient location. The bedding is good and gives lots of couples King Size beds and private baths although everything is a little tired and worn but makes families comfortable.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Thunderbird. So great to have the pools as options. The views from the top decks are amazing! Our only complaint was the beachfront deck is buried by sand and behind a dune. We did not expect that, and we love the beachfront decks. Nonetheless, we would highly recommend this property!

Great House For Multiple Families
We had several couples spend a great week at Thunderbird! Spacious and well equipped. We all had privacy and plenty of living areas. The rooftop hot tub is great and we played pool every night! It is our preferred location being close to outlets and Sam And Omie's restaurant! The Gazebo was unusable due to sand and the walk over the high dune was a challenge so maybe not ideal for elderly, handicapped or small ones. A decking walkway would be a good addition. Overall loved Thunderbird!

What's the word?...Thunderbird!
We had 4 families stay at the Thunderbird over our spring break. Let me just say...we all had a blast! The rooftop view is amazing, especially while soaking in the hot tub with a cold drink! Great location, tons of space and we loved the large kitchen! Already booked it for next spring break!
