Out of the Blue - K1620

I can't say enough about our whole stay at Kitty Hawk. It was wonderful.The cottage Out of the Blue was very comfortable. Very clean and well stocked with everything we needed.It has a full apartment downstairs and a full apartment upstairs. We were going to put a guest downstairs until we walked through it. It's in dire need of severe updating.The ceiling panels were hanging loose in some of the rooms. Overall the lower apartment was pretty dark, drab and creepy feeling so we all opted for the upstairs apartment which was very comfortable. Wonderful view of the ocean. You could actually watch a full sunrise from the front porch. Easy access to the beach. Due to the poor condition of the lower apartment we probably wouldn't stay there again, not for the money we paid for upper and lower and felt comfortable enough to just use the upper-which was nice and clean. This was our first trip to the OTB and overall it was wonderful.

The location was perfect. The home could use some updating. The sliding doors should be replaced. We could never really lock them or open them properly. the plumbing should be looked at in the bathrooms for slow draining. I would possibly rent again, but the stairs for older folks was tough, but would def consider again.

This was a comfortable home. We enjoyed the porches and the proximity to the beach. The bathrooms need some updating, but the tubs/showers were clean.

we enjoyed our stay the weather was great. The home was clean. The location was perfect. I love to hear the sound of the waves. My only suggestion would be to remove the old wilted flags that were hanging on the porch probably since 4 July. Other than that everything was great, we would definitely stay there again. Thank you.

Wish we could have spent more time.

House was very nice, and rental company was very responsive with things that weren't quite right.

House was perfect! It was clean when we got there and the beds were already made. Perfect house for us with the two bedrooms and kitchenette downstairs and the two bedrooms and full kitchen upstairs!

I REALLY liked the two separate quarters. One son was upstairs with his family and the other one was downstairs with his family and me. My sister was across the street with her big family. Great reunion with loved ones we don't often see. Lot's of teenagers and they had a wonderful time. Everything was comfortable and mostly convenient. Thank you.

I booked this place several months in advance. It met all of my criteria. It was practically on the beach. Access was great. The front porch was where it was happening. Nice ocean views and very relaxing. Back deck was great in the evening. I was very happy with the house. It was very cozy. Couch was very comfortable, kitchen was well stocked and the master bed upstairs was very comfortable. My pup enjoyed being out on the deck and I really liked the pocket doors to segregate her upstairs from the
