Perfect house for our group

We rented this house in off season to attend a beach wedding. We had a group of multiple families with children as young as 1 and adults into the 50's and 60's. There were a total of 15 people staying. We had plenty of space. The noise did not carry from floor to floor which was great for naps. The pool house retained the heat (although we should have paid to heat the pool). The yard was fantastic for both the kids and our dog. The walk to the beach access was very short. The elevator was a godsend for those with bad knees and for transporting the groceries and luggage through the house. The kitchen had ample supply of everything that we needed. Everyone raved about the house. Thank you for adding to our wonderful trip.

Annual Family Vacation

We loved our stay at Silver Lining again this year. It was our 8th year at this rental and we've loved them all. The owners and Beach Realty do a lot to address things we find on our visits. It appears many renters to not take the time to report things like loose ballisters on the kitchen level deck. Sadly, we've outgrown this house and are moving on to a bigger place next year. I sure hope the folks after us enjoy it as much as we have.

AC issue with water on floor from clogged drain pan. Technician who serviced HVAC turned off wrong breaker and there was no hot water on left side of building. Breaker was labeled wrong. AC didn't cool as efficient as it should of. The pool was great, but would of been nice if all the fans and doors worked in order to cool the room down. Other than that, the house was nice and laid out well. We enjoyed our stay and will consider using Beach Realty on our next vacation.

Wonderful Spring Break

The house and communication while staying there was great. We heated the pool for our stay in late March, the kids loved it. The beach/ocean was literally a block or less away, also perfect for our group. Called/text the company twice during our stay and was responded to quickly and questions were answered. Great house for our group of teens and adults. Loved the back yard for games and relaxation. Close to shops and other things to do. We walked to the Wright's Brother Memorial. Our teens wanted a basketball hoop, a wonderful YMCA was right down the road as well. One bathroom entrance from the outside was great to use when swimming. The elevator was an amazing surprise, we had one member injured 2 days before our scheduled vacation. Overall, very happy with this house, the area, and Beach Reality.

Perfect for a family vaca

Perfect place for large groups of adults

Everything about this place is designed to let large families have a great time together, and then retire to their own private rooms with ensuite bathroom. It's more like renting a whole hotel than just a beach house. Great pool, large private fenced yard for dogs and games. Totally worth every cent!

Big house for a big family

We had a great stay with the entire family. The elevator helped us be together as much as possible. The younger family members thoroughly enjoyed the pool table and ping pong. However we did notice what looks to be mold growing in and around the vents primarily in the first floor but it is in the other vents also it was a great house otherwise.

We had an awesome week and wonderful weather! We love Silver Lining!
Having 10 master bedrooms is perfect, with pool, yard and elevator! The only thing we think it could use is another washer and dryer.... With this many rooms, definitely could use another set. We love having ice maker and recreation rooms. All in all, a great house!

Great House, Great Vacation

We had a wonderful stay at Silver Lining this year. The property was clean and exactly as described. The location was perfect for going to the beach, shopping, or sightseeing. Spacious Home with great amenities

This beautiful home was clean very spacious and but cozy for our large (13) family vacation. The living areas accommodated us nicely; the kitchen area worked well for meal preparation. Every bedroom has a private bath and comfortable beds. We utilized the Ping Pong Table and Pool Table on the lower level as well as the enclosed pool and large yard. Our only complaint was the distant from the ocean; I would not consider it "semi-oceanfront", the walk was about 2 blocks.

Great Vacation Home

Thes house was everything the described it as. The 10 bedrooms each had their own private bathroom. Each bedroom was spacious, all were clean. The kitchen was well equipped. We were a family of 15 ranging in age from 5yrs. old to 77 yrs. old. It was a short walk to the beach and all made it multple times. All in all it was a great vacation.

Everything was quite enjoyable. The covered pool worked well when we couldn't get to the beach. The only thing is the fridge in kitchen would be easier to not be a side by side. If it could be either a top or bottom freezer, with fridge opposite of course. It was so nice having an elevator for me since steps and I don't work well.

Perfect for our family group of 16

This house allowed us to offer family units private bedrooms and baths and many areas to gather together or to get "lost" in quiet time. The location was perfect for shopping, eating out, etc. and only a short walk to a not-so-crowded beach. There was enough seating so we could all eat together (important to us) and to play games and even hold olympic events in the pool area. Beautiful Home for a wonderful stay

The house was large and spacious. It was clean and ready for us when we arrived. Plenty of room for everyone to gather and to have a quiet place when needed. Pool was wonderful and came in handy on rainy days. There were some areas that could use attention such as the doors opening the pool chamber very difficult to slide but we were still able to come in and out as wanted. Highly recommend.

Wonderful!

The Silver lining was a great property. The kitchen was well equipped. The indoor pool and side yard were greatly enjoyed by all of the kids and adults. Beach access was only a short walk away. The main living room TV could benefit from a sound bar. We have rented several houses in the KDH area, and will definitely book this one again.

This place is unbelievably wonderful. The rental company is very good at addressing any issues at all and they do it promptly. The owners here are very different from any other place that I have stayed. They listen to the input they value it and then make the changes as suggested. This was our third visit and it was wonderful to see all of the changes that they made over the winter time based upon the input of their guests. The only regret I have in making this review is that others might find this special secret and we may not be able to get in one day. Hats off to the great owners and a big thank you to the rental company.

I have been renting homes for my group for years, this would be #2 On my list. Everyone had a great time. Centraly located on the OBX. We were all adults and enjoyed the elevator and the majority of the rooms close by the kitchen area for gatherings. I could return here again but we do go to different locations each year. Finding 10 or 11 bedrooms is a tough job they are stuff to find with bathrooms. You will sure to bring your own TP and paper towels and soap these items are not furnished
