Nice place

Home and yard are great for multiple families. Plenty of space! Yard was immaculate. Home was clean except for floors. They needed mopping. Great kitchen with everything you need. Pool was really nice and covered area provided nice shade to watch others play. Would stay again.

Great house

We love all the updates to this comfortable house that we have rented 4 times now. Beds need a refresh and pots need replacing. Unfortunately, some renters do not respect the houses rented. Overall, the owners do a wonderful job keeping the house updated. Beach Realty is responsive to any issues reported. Unfortunately, the cleaners did not do a good job cleaning this time. Floors were very dirty.

A GREAT week in Corolla

We could not have been happier with our stay at The Whistling Oyster. Everything in the house looked and felt brand new. The kitchen was fantastic and the pool was perfect. The lounging spaces, both inside and outside made us feel like we were at home. All amenities were as advertised. We could not have reserved a better house!

Mary Poppins would love The Whistling Oyster

The Whistling Oyster is practically perfect in every way. The kids loved spending the day in the pool or digging in the sand at the beach. We didn't have to tote little people and stuff across a busy road. We could - and did! - walk to the bookstore, ice cream shop, lighthouse. Practically perfect in every way.

Perfect Vacation Home

My family and I have been vacationing in Corolla for 6 years and this is by far the best home we have stayed in. The home was well maintained, each floor was perfectly arranged, nothing we needed was missing, and the distance to the beach was absolutely perfect.

Wonderful House!!!

My family of 10 stayed at Whistling Oyster in 2023 and enjoyed our stay. The owners have done a tremendous job updating the house. Well done!!! And these updates made our second stay at this property for 2024 that much better. We love the Corolla Village area. Private and secluded. Beach Realty is an absolute pleasure to work with; responding quickly to any issues. We have been coming to OBX for 34 years and it's the best realty company we have ever had.

I want to start off by saying that we had a great stay at The Whistling Oyster. The house was the perfect size for our group of 15, allowing us to spend time together but also escape to our rooms/floor when we needed it. The location was perfect and allowed us to easily walk to the beach, coffee shops, and other nearby attractions. We loved enjoying our coffee on the third-floor patio and used the screened-in porch for game nights. The kitchen was well equipped but could use some newer/updated items. Howeve

The house Id beautiful. It was clean and the kitchen had everything we needed. We had called for more towels which we did not get as the ones packed for us did not seem clean. So we washed them all was fine. Enjoyed the house close to beach. Would rent again.

Trautman Family Vacation In The Outer Banks, N.C.

This was the third or fourth time we had rented the
Whistling Oyster house. It had been up graded since the last time we rented it and they did a great job with the up grade. The only problem my wife and I had was because of our age (80 and 81) it was quite difficult to get down to the pool and also go to the beach and get back up the steps to the third floor. Fantastic week as always

Vacation was fantastic as always. The house and staff were great. One minor issue in a holiday weekend and their on call staff took care of it. Only down side was a rain out day and the TRAFFIC!

Location was great. House is very nice. Walking distance to shops and some restaurants. Pool was one of the nicest weve had. Only complaint is it wasnt as clean as I would have liked-Cheerios under coffee table and screened in porch had food on floor. Would rent again.

Due to Covid our original plans to Jamaica was cancelled but non the less our visit to the OBX/Corolla was GREAT! My family and I had the best time; we enjoyed everything about the vacation house; especially the pool.

Excellent. Well equipped and tastefully appointed house. Perfect for a large family vacation. Proximity to the beach was great, and very important. Offers more privacy than most other properties, yet conveniently located. Rental agency (Kitty Hawk) was very responsive to requests and inquiries. We will be returning to Corolla, and hopefully to the Whistling Oyster.

Fine Family Retreat

Great location! 3 min walk to beach, no traffic, private, well-kept property. Easy access to shopping and recreation (far enough north that traffic is reasonable). Bottom level nicely finished out in 2016. Basketball goal was broken when we arrived, but replaced with no hassle. Pool very kid-friendly. One bedroom missing fan/light remote: reported but not replaced during our visit. House easily supported 4 families, 13 people, ranging from 6 to 77 yo. We recommend!

A great time with all of the family!
This area included the historic village, the Wild Horse Foundation Tour, wine tasting Wednesday, crabbing, the Whalehead Club and lighthouse were all an added bonus.

Wonderful week at the beach with family and family. Spacious unit with good open floor plan, nice accomodations. Need a new coffee maker and should supply toilet paper (at least one roll per bathroom)

Happy at the Whistling Oyster!!!

We were very happy with the house and the location. Easy access to the beach. The only think with the house, you should look into taking care of where birds had made nests in eaves. The house was very clean. We were very happy with the management staff. We would definitely stay at this property again.

Great place. Just off the beach but close enough. Great value.

Overall the stay was great! Their is a shortcut through the woods to the beach and it was not crowded at all. The sand was beautiful and it was very quiet and peaceful and away from the hustle and bustle of the really touristy areas in the area. It is a bit of a drive from the hwy as it is at the very north end of the beach. The pool was great as were the chairs on the decks. The house had a little wear and tear with the screens on the screened in porch, the grill was not overly in good shape, the beds were a bit hard for my taste but they were fine as far as beds go and we had a couple small maintenance items that when we called the management company fixed immediately. They were very good to work with and very responsive. We had 12 people and had plenty of room. The house is laid out very well with up top being the main meeting area and lodging mainly on middle floor. Very nice property and would rent again. Oh, we rented bikes and it is a fantastic place to rent bikes. Very nice and easy paths to get to and ride on. Go to the 4x4 beach just north of house and watch people get stuck:)
