Great location. Property was clean and ready at 6 PM. Had trouble with TV in main room and took about 40 hours for maintenance to respond. I had a work around by then. Would stay here again.

Great family vacation!

We enjoyed our stay at the Outer Banks. Not our first time there and will be back in the fall. The house was very nice for our group of 11. Bedrooms were perfect for our family. The housekeeping was a little subpar but was handled by the rental company. A few maintenance needs were quickly and efficiently handled as well. Loved the pool and the hottub!! The best thing for our grandsons, beside the beach, was the basketball goal!! Kitchen was well stocked and there were tons of books and puzzles. Might want

Wonderful!!!

There is absolutely nothing that I can say negative about this house. Upon our arrival my entire family could not believe how clean this place is. Beautifully renovated and stocked for all needs. The only thing I could suggest to the owners are some shower heads that provide a tad more pressure but this is not something that would change my mind about returning. If youre looking for a house with lots of space for large parties, this is the one!

Relaxing Week with Family

Tranquility provided a wonderful week for our 11 person extended family. We loved having easy access to the beach and the convenience of the swimming pool on days when the ocean was rough. The 3rd floor living space provided plenty of room for our family to enjoy meals and quality time together, but plenty of space to spread out in other parts of the home when desired.

We loved the South Nags Head location that is close to Fishheads, Jenette's Pier, and other shops and restaurants.

Wonderful family vacation

I searched high and low for a perfect location for our family reunion. This house fit the bill in every way - a lovely home and lots of space, a beautiful view and easily accessible. It's on the beach so sand is inevitably tracked around the house, and we found a few remnants from the prior renters (seemingly a hurried cleaning), but otherwise the pictures accurately show the home. Property Managers were very responsive - brought a new coffee maker, fixed lights, etc. It was our first trip to the Outer Bank

Great location.

Great location. I rented this place with 2 other families and what a fun time we had. Plenty of space and what a location. It was the first time visiting Nags head for all of us and we had a great time. No problem with the stay at all. We never had to contact the property management for anything.

Great family house

Our multigenerational family group included 5 adults and six children including a toddler and a baby. The plentiful bedrooms gave us flexibility to accommodate older and younger kids. Access to the beach was easy, and the pool was a delightful alternative (and plenty warm enough). Other reviewers mentioned steep stairs, but the stairs seemed normal to us. House was very clean and the kitchen was well-stocked. Would definitely stay here again!

Perfect Location!

If you are looking for an ocean front property, this is the place for you! This house literally sits on the ocean. We watched the sunrise and the dolphins every morning from the oversized deck.
Check-in was easy with the express check-in feature.
The home was clean and looks exactly like the pictures posted. One review stated that the steps inside the home were steep. This made us nervous as we brought our mother with us and she had knee replacement surgery 3 weeks prior but she (or any of us) didn't have any trouble with them.
The kitchen is stocked with dishes, glasses, cups, pots and pans. The only complaint I have and I hate to complain because this place was perfect, but because the sunrises right outside of the living room, that room gets hot!! Theres no shade or blind on the sliding glass doors so once that sun is up, it heats up quickly. We truly enjoyed our stay here and would highly recommended it!

Wonderful family Spring Break

There were 11 of us, ages 3 - 73, so we settled into the top living space after deciding who sleeps where, and talked. We remarked on the table that was large enough to fit all of us, also was a great game table at night. The house is stocked with board games, puzzles, and a TV gaming system. We did not find games for the system but we were so busy with other things we didn't look very hard either.

The location was great! We enjoyed watching the waves roll in, the dolphins play, the pelicans skim the water, kites flying - both our and other visitors - and actually endured a no'easter, which we had no idea would be as strong for as long as it was. One thing about this house, if you have trouble with stairs, this is not for you. They are steep and a lot of them between each level. After climbing from the bottom level to the top, my 3-year-old granddaughter looked at me seriously and said, 'Grandma, I'm about done with stairs!" I would highly recommend Tranquility in Nags Head, NC as a vacation destination. If you are staying off-season make sure the places you want to visit are open. The websites and/or advertising books do not tell you hours at all. We went to 3 different places for lunch one day and every one of them indicated they were open but we bumped our noses on 2 with hand-written signs on the window "Off Season, Closed," and the 3rd we were told by, maybe the owner, that "tomorrow" was opening day. That was at least posted on a large outdoor sign, but if their advertising doesn't state hours, how are we supposed to know? We ended up at Sonny's, south of the Hatteras Lighthouse, and were served and treated great even though the 8 of us walked in at 1:40 pm and they closed at 2. We did ask if they would serve us because of the number of people and the time and they graciously seated us and the food was good!

Barker Beautiful Beach Bash

October is my favorite time to go to the beach! We had everything we needed. Close to town, oceanfront, pool, hot tub. The house was fairly clean and kitchen was well stocked! We had a few ;visitors; from crickets, to cockroaches and a mouse. The house was cleaned well, I dont think it was due to the dirtiness. It created fun memories.

We had a wonderful family beach vacation with several family groups participating. There was plenty of room in the house for sleeping and some privacy for our three family groups. The location is excellent both in regard to shopping/services and to the beach.

Week at Tranquility

We had a wonderful family vacation - the house was perfect for our group - 3 generations together. House is well maintained and comfortable-just a few suggestions to make it even better: disposal, ice maker or at least new ice trays, a few of those high deck chairs so one can see the water over the railing.

My family rented for a week but I was there only 4 days. Initially, there were some minor issues and they were addressed immediately. Nice house which housed 14 age 9-60 and 2 babies. Pictures are accurate also.

Breath taken, beautiful, very tranquil.

This was the 2nd year out of 13 years, that we did not take our motorcycle down for the OBX bike week. We decided this year to just relax, and get out and enjoy the sites, shopping, and great food. This year my oldest brother and sister in law stayed. They really needed this little trip to unwind. This home really lives up to it name, "tranquility." I would like to say a big thank you to the property management and the owner. I will not rent from any other rental company, except Beach Realty of NC Inc. This home has plenty of room and everything a family could/or needs for the greatest stay ever. This home is just like being in your own home, but with the beach at you door.

Wonderful Thanksgiving!

This beautiful vacation home was even better than it looked online! The ocean view out the back doors was awesome! We cooked our Thanksgiving dinner for 11 people in the reasonably well-equipped kitchen (the hand mixer didn't work, and the silverware was a bit skimpy - just enough spoons for the group if we made sure they were all washed.) There was plenty of room in the dining area and the sitting area for our group, and the many bedrooms and baths were convenient. We enjoyed walking on the beach in the moonlight, flying kite, surfing (pretty cold!), and exploring Jennette's Pier.
The key was not in the dropbox when we arrived, but the agency responded promptly, then made another trip to the cabin that evening to bring us linens that were supposed to be there and weren't. So they weren't perfect, but were friendly and helpful. We would definitely recommend this property!
