What a year 2020 has been! As this season comes to a close it is a good time to start thinking about off season projects to update and upgrade your home for the coming year!

Technology

We all know Smart TVs are becoming the new normal for many homes including rental homes.  This allows guests the opportunity to sign into their own streaming services such as Netflix, Hulu or Prime Video and can be seen as a wonderful convenience for many renters as opposed to cable. However, please be sure if you feel your smart TV could potentially confuse a guest that is not familiar with this technology that there are easy to follow, simple instructions available in the home or on file with the service department for quick reference and troubleshooting.  With the addition of Smart TVs please keep in mind that Cable TV is still a required amenity, but not required for every television. Keep your eye on Black Friday or Cyber Monday deals!

Flooring and Contruction Touch-Ups

If you are looking into new flooring options Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP) flooring is an affordable, water resistant flooring option that is easy to install and often looks very similar to wood flooring. This option is also much more cost efficient to maintain as it eliminates the potential of stains and carpet cleans.  Now is also a great time to get in and get a little touch up painting done.  As we all know, bumps and scrapes on your walls are bound to happen and a fresh coat of paint can often revitalize a home after a long busy summer. Please keep in mind that contractor’s schedules begin filling up for the off season in the fall, so act quickly if you want to schedule the work for the 2021 Rental Season. Do not forget to reach out to our Construction Department for any of your remodeling needs!

Mattresses

Providing a quality mattress that makes your guests fell comfortable, sleep well, and wake up refreshed can make all the difference in their experience in your home. Nothing can ruin a vacation like a worn out mattress and your reviews will surely reflect this. Shopping for others and trying to anticipate their needs, especially for a rental home can be quite overwhelming. Mattresses that are in the middle of the spectrum as far as firmness and support are recommended, however it is important to keep in mind you will not be able to please everyone as this is a very personal preference. Explore companies such as Nectar, Tuft & Needle, Purple, and Puff Lux.  These memory foam mattresses are budget friendly, expected to last eight to ten years, and the best part is that they can ship right to your door!

Again, If your home requires interior repairs, a cosmetic make-over, or you have a remodeling idea to implement, give us a call to discuss your rental calendar and access to your home so we can get you scheduled.
