Southern Shores Leash Laws:
Dogs are only allowed on the beach between the hours of 6:00 p.m-9:00 a.m. from May 15th to September 15. DOGS MUST BE ON LEASH AT ALL TIMES when off personal property. WASTE MUST BE PICKED UP.
SOUTHERN SHORES ATTRACTIONS
Duck Woods Country Club
The semi-private 18-hole championship golf course was designed by the renowned architect Ellis Maples, and opened in 1969. There are four sets of tees at Duck Woods: Black (6650 yds, 72.5/138), Blue (6183 yds, 70.2/131), White (5655 yds, 68.1/114, 73.3/133), and Green (4967, 70.0/118). The driving range, short game practice area, and practice green provide a year-round facility to hone every aspect of your game.
Southern Shores Civic Association - Guest Amenities
The Southern Shores Civic Association features three marinas, a boat launch, two tennis courts, picnic area and beach parking. Many Southern Shores homeowners have a membership which is applicable to their guests.
