Good! Nice location, hot tub was great. Size of the house was perfect for us. House needs some updates. Dishwasher was not working so dishes in the cupboards were dirty. Lots of dust and dog hair; need a better cleaning service. Railing on back deck is loose.

Great house in quiet spot!

The house was great for our family of 6. The entire living space was one floor which was ideal for us. Walk to the beach wasn’t awful but it wasn’t the my joyous with kids in tow who complain often about hot sand/carrying things. The beach access is down one house to right and up street passing 2 homes then approx 20ft slight incline to beach. I’d stay here again if I didn’t have kids. Everything was awesome with only con truly being the amount of dog fur left behind and minimal cooking pans/pots. I love animals but did find plenty of dog hair under the furniture and in the bed.

Ohhh the Ocean

We enjoyed the cottage and the location. It is nice to have a front and back deck.

The back decking had some rusting nails and split wood that is not safe to walk in bare feet.
Kitchen pots and pans, and some of the plastic glasses are pretty worn out.

This was a very nice beach house with an updated kitchen with Kuerig. It had a nice layout with comfortable beds. We enjoyed our stay. Beach Realty was one of the best we have ever rented from. We will definitely use them again.

Enjoyed our stay at the Outer Banks. House was in great location and great layout. Needs a lot TLC. Was not cleaned very good. Had an awful smell inside when we arrived. While we were there we had a sink leak that had been there for awile. The rental agency was very prompt in sending someone to fix it. Would be a great place to stay. Just need some maintenance.

8 fun summers at this location. Continue to love the location. House could use some updates - the kitchen is especially in need of TLC. Would like it better if no pets allowed - don't love finding dog hair on the couch pillows!

Twice the Sun is a great little gem. Conveniently located to shopping , restaurants and the beach. House was clean and the views were beautiful. The kitchen utensils and pots/ pans could use updated but other then that we had a wonderful experience at Twice the Sun!

My family of six loved staying here! Short walk to the beach, nice view from the crow’s nest, comfortable beds, cute decor. The only big problem we had was the sun pouring in before 6am! It would be great if he owners could install black out curtains. Some other homes we stayed in had more board games and sand toys - that would have been nice to have. Otherwise, awesome home - loved it there. Thanks for the memories!

A Wonderful Week!

House is the best location we've had in years. House was big enough for the 8 of us and dogs. Grandkids loved the hot tub so did the grown ups after kids went to bed. Queen beds were hard took awhile to fall asleep. Great vacation

Wonderful stay at Twice the Sun!

Stayed for the week with my husband, almost 2 year old, and dog. We had a perfect vacation! View of the beach was beautiful, we were able to hang on our deck most days with a lovely breeze. Close walk to the beach. Close to restaurants and Roanoke Island. Home was clean and the perfect size for us. We also enjoyed the hot tub on cool mornings. Would definitely stay again! It was our first time in Nags Head and we plan to return!

Quiet beach

House was nice, view was great. Beach very quiet. Would stay here again. Kitchen was adequate except for no pot holders and lids for pots. Blinds on kitchen windows and doors were broken. Also having dogs it would have been nice if the yard was mowed so that they could walk around.

Hurricane Florence sent us packing

The few days we were there was relaxing. Having to evacuate was sad. We pray for the people that were hit so badly by the hurricane.

Fantastic Stay at Twice the Sun!

We had family traveling to meet at Twice the Sun. We had dogs. We had a fantastic time! It was perfect! The mother-in-law that didn't always want to go down on the beach but enjoy the ocean got that pleasure from the top balcony. The deck was gated so we didn't have to worry about the dogs. Two bedrooms to one full bath was perfect! We had a wonderful time and would love to stay again. My one complaint was that we had maintenance people come there 3 different times which was disruptive and unexpected.

Enjoyed our stay at Twice the Sun. Really liked the open floor plan with plenty of natural light. Very well decorated with bright colors. We did need to call about high grass when we arrived, but it was taken care of the next day. Loved the hot tub and gas grille. Great ocean views. Beach realty was easy and pleasant to work with. Will stay there in the future.

This is a great house for one family. The ocean view from the top deck is beautiful, and you can sit on any of the decks and hear the ocean. We enjoyed the hot tub too. It's a very short walk to the beach. The only things missing were pot holders and a whisk. We meant to buy them for the house but kept forgetting.

Perfect beach cottage for our family!

This is our second year renting Twice the Sun and we already booked it for 2018! We love the ocean view from inside the house, as well as outside - especially from the top deck! It is an easy walk to the beach...a beach that is rarely, if ever crowded. We also really enjoy daily use of the hot tub, even if the weather isn't perfect. The house is nicely decorated and recently remodeled, but some furniture/carpet is looking rough and could use replacing.

Nice clean house and very close to beach. My only complaint is that the lawn was not take care of which made it difficult to get my two small dogs to do their business. They kept trying to go across the street to a house that had a nice lawn.

This was the first time we stayed at this site. Location was great proximity to the beach. Being off the main road has it's advantages and disadvantages, because we had other vehicles parking along our road making is tight to drive in and out the road.

We had a great vacation at Twice the Sun from Aug 13-20 2016. Twice the sun is the perfect size beach house for a single family or two small families (we went with my husband's parents, ourselves and our daughter). The open floor plan in the living area and kitchen was gorgeous- it really looks just like the pictures. The kitchen has all the equipment you need to cook throughout the week. The beds were comfortable and bedrooms were well appointed. There were a couple spiders in the bedrooms (cobwebs behind the beds), but it wasn't a big deal. There are great ocean views from the back deck and the back windows. The beach is just a short walk around the corner (you can't walk straight back), and we didn't have any problem with getting to the beach. We had a great time!

Perfect Family Retreat

Our family of four + two guests had a very enjoyable stay at Twice the Sun! The house is in a great location in less crowded S. Nags Head, with a short walk to beach access & wonderful views! The house was clean, nicely decorated/updated and very comfortable for our family. We actually enjoyed the simplicity of living on one level. The management was prompt dealing with a few minor maintenance needs during our stay, as well. We plan to stay again next year!!

Just the Right Size

Single story floorplan was just right for smaller group. Not much space in kitchen, but size seemed to fit with the overall size of cottage. Have loved this beach location in S. Nags Head for many years and would highly recommend to anyone! The top deck was great!

LOVED This House!

We vacation in the outer banks at least once a year. This house has to be one of my absolute favorites! GREAT ocean views. Comfortable and clean house. Short walk to the beach. I will definitely rent this one again!!!

We rented this same house last year after it had just been redone-everything was beautiful. We were disappointed at the cleanliness and how the general condition of the house had fared after just one year of rental. Most of the cooking utensils and pots had to be rewashed because they were put away dirty. There was quite a few mouse droppings in the cabinets closest to to stove and the much needed blind on the kitchen window was gone and not replaced. The location of this house is perfect-just wish the inside had been kept up after ther remodel.

The place is nice and my family had an enjoyable and positive experience. However, the beds in the home did not match the description on the website. The beach IS NOT 20 yards away. Access to the beach is out the front door, down the street, and around the corner.

However, I would definitely use it again.

Twice the Sun

House has nice views of ocean, and slept eight people comfortably. There is a short walk to the beach as you can't walk from the rear of the house, you must exit the front and walk to the end of the street and then walk the short block to the ocean. Ample parking, wide open beach, close to Oregon Inlet and shopping.

Great Vacation Home Away from Home

From the booking of the vacation to dropping off the keys renting with Beach Realty was a breeze. My parents got to the island early in the day and they were able to check into the house a bit early. They were pleased with the helpful staff instructing them how to get to our rental. "Twice the Sun" was clean and comfortable for our weeks stay in South Nags Head. We did have an issue with the cable tv but Beach Realty was quick to get a resolution to our problem. We would highly recommend "Twice the Sun" and Beach Realty to anyone looking for their next OBX Vacation!

Awesome House

This house is wonderful, its one of our favorite houses to stay in at the obx. The new owners have done some great things, the new furniture, decor, appliances and hot tub are excellent. The only upgrade that I can see necessary is the kitchen cabinets and some of the non stick pots and pans could be replaced, but that's nit-picking. The location couldn't be better-love the ocean views!
