Family Vacation
Very nice beach house. Could use a deep cleaning (floors and carpet) but not filthy by any means. Great location and Communication with management was easy. The pool and hot tub were clean and very enjoyable. We loved the short walk to the beach and enjoyed the pool after our beach time each day. We brought a wagon to haul our beach stuff over in which made it an easy walk, but they did have free parking at the beach access if you needed to drive. The walk was only like a block. The kids enjoyed the swing set in the back yard but the yard itself definitely needs attention. You need shoes on because of the thorns. Lots of great places for dinner nearby but go early because they get very busy. After dinner we would enjoy Booty Treats for ice cream. Our family of 8 had a Great time at Shorenuff and would recommend!

Perfect for our Vacation with the Grandkids
Overall we loved the home and the location. We were close to the ocean (a block and half away), close to the public park only a couple blocks away, very close to the Lions Grocery and many tourist attractions. The outdoor pool was superb and our grandkids spent 3+ hours a day there.
There were a couple of issues that I would like to share. The listing indicated that there were bunk beds with trundle. The trundle was missing but we noticed that there was a sofa sleeper on the first floor. We asked (Beach Realty) if we could get linens for that bed but were told that since it was not included in the listing that they could not provide them. Would have thought since there was no trundle that they might accommodate this request. Much was said in reviews about cleanliness. I think a thorough cleaning is necessary. The carpeted steps were filthy and worn. The vents had back dirt on them, the ceiling fans need dusting. The playground would have been a nice amenity but the kids got thorns in their feet the first time they went there and would not go back. The back yard needs some attention. A garbage disposal would be a nice addition.
Even with these small issues we had a fantastic week and I would recommend this property.

Restful vacation with family
Shorenuff was the perfect vacation home for our family. The kitchen is well stocked. Probably the best stocked kitchen we have had. It also had ample room and seating. Although Shorenuff is not right over the dunes from the ocean it is just a pleasant walk away. We have four children and were easily able to get to the beach access in just a couple minutes. On the days we chose not to go to the beach we thoroughly enjoyed our private pool and backyard. We enjoyed the perfect vacation in a home away from home.

Very nice home in the center of it all
The house was beautiful with great ocean views. Plenty of room for our party and central to beach accesses, shopping and eating. Nice beach neighborhoods to ride bikes also. The pool was too cold this time of year, but the hot tub was nice. We did have quite an issue with the keyless entry for the first couple of days. Maintenance finally came out and resolved the problem.

We loved our stay at Shorenuff. The house was clean, beautiful and really well stocked for a rental. The management company was exceptional. We’ve done vacation rentals for 20 years and this was one of the best. We had paper supplies to start our week, and some small gifts waiting for us when we arrived. Text messages I sent with questions were immediately answered. We’ve had great rental houses in the past but this was the first time I was impressed with the rental agency also.

Great rental
Our stay at Shorenuff was great! The house had plenty of room for all of us and we loved the pool and hot tub. The kids didn’t play on the playground too much because the grass was spiky. We chose not to heat the pool and it was chilly at the beginning of the week but warmed up by the end (beginning of June). Nice large table outside for enjoying steamed crabs and playing cards at night. The dining room table is large and seats a lot but it’s VERY sticky. The master bedroom on the top level, the shower drain was so clogged that the water backed up while you were showering. Other than that, all the bathrooms were very nice and all the bedrooms were spacious. The bunk bed is old and rickety though. We loved that the beach access was within short walking distance. Quiet street for the kids to ride their bikes and the locals are so nice! Great park within walking distance as well. Overall, we had a great vacation at Shorenuff!

Great stay !!!!
We stayed here for 2 weeks and we LOVED it. Very close to beach access. Very spacious and comfortable. Just a couple things that would improve the home would be to have more cooking utensils and pots/pans. There weren’t many at all. Also, the top deck was pretty wobbly and could use some TLC. Overall, a great stay and my family would absolutely stay here again.

Wonderful vacation house!
We had a fantastic stay at Shorenuff in July! The house was impeccably cleaned and so spacious for our two families with three kids! The furniture was so comfortable and the kitchen was well-appointed for when we dined in. We loved having the pool and the game tables as well! The kids ended up liking the pool better than being at the beach! We enjoyed the quiet street and were able to walk easily to both public accesses (the southern one was easier without having to climb a bunch of stairs). The first beach trip we trudged all of our beach stuff with chairs and tents but then realized it was easier to just go for an hour or two at a time and just bring towels and water and pails for the kids to find sea shells. As always, we enjoyed ghost crabbing in the evenings. The pier is walkable as well and good for fishing! We highly recommend Tortuga’s Lie for dinner! Get there early:-)

We had a great week. Overall the property was really great! There were some minor housekeeping issues when we first arrived that could have been better and the pool heater was not turned on until the following day. We found a couple large unexpected guests (palmetto bugs) in the dresser drawers which I realize can happen at the beach. The property is in a great spot and the ocean view was wonderful. We would definitely rent this house again.

Great beach vacation
We loved this house. It was very clean, the layout was perfect for our 2 families. Lots of windows with natural light and the beach decore made the house feel welcoming and homey. The game room and the pool were great entertainment for our teenagers. The kitchen was well stocked with plenty of dishes and silverware for our large group and the large table accommodated all of us for our family meals. The furniture was well kept and the deck chairs and decks have been well maintained. The rental company was friendly and communicated very well. We had no issues and loved the fact that we didn't have to actually go to the office to check in or check out. Both couples enjoyed a night out with the kids at a nearby restaurant called Tortuga's Lie. Good food and drinks and very busy. It is in walking distance. The beach access isn't far at all. We walked every day will all of our beach chairs, etc. The house has a variety of puzzles and books to borrow while visiting. All of us agreed that when we get to come back to the Outer Banks, we will be renting this house again!

Shorenuff met our family’s needs perfectly. The space was just right, with a fully stocked kitchen, good sized living room-open concept, and beautiful view of the ocean from the main deck. Pretty sure it’s been professionally decorated!!! Really delightful! The house is centrally located, so we walked everywhere! The coffee shop, shopping, and of course the beach, the fabulous park...all with in blocks! Be sure to drive the beach in Corolla to see the wild horses, and don’t miss the awesome dunes at Jockeys ridge! Catch the sunrise with the dolphins as you walk along the shore finding treasures that have come in with the surf! But beware, I’ve vacationed all over the world, and OBX is the only place I’ve ever been that has me tearing up when I drive away at the end of the week!

Shorenuff rental June vacation
We loved the house and all the amenities. Love the baby alarm on the door downstairs. We would like to rent this house again because we also liked the location.

Fantastic

Perfection
We loved this was perfect! Short walk to the beach, stocked kitchen, and comfortable beds. I would highly recommend this house!
Since there was not an option to select linens on the original contract, I apparently did not do so. I called Beach Realty asking if it was possible to add linens to my rental, and they had them delivered within an hour. Much appreciated! Please consider putting all fees together in one spot on the contract. I paid the pet fee and travel would be nice to have everything together to avoid future errors.

Fabulous
Gorgeous house, great location. Stayed at this property two years ago and would definitely return. Major improvement would be the addition of a gas grill and for the back yard to be cleaned up to get rid of the burrs, otherwise just perfect.

Awesome Vacation
We had a wonderful week stay. The house was as good as the pictures! Had a couple issues with the door code but it was fixed promptly. The view was beautiful, the beach was close, and the pool/hot tub were relaxing. We would definitely stay here again in a heart beat.

Awesome Home
It was really awesome !!! Beach Realty is a great company and this home was perfect.What made this trip even more special was our future son in law proposed to our daughter on the beach.Will continue to rent this home every year as long as the price doesn't get too high.LOVED this home and our total experience.

Best Beach House!
Beach Realty was the easiest company to work with. Quick to respond to emails and add heating the pool with no problems at all. Payments and reminders were helpful. And this house in particular was the BEST! It has it all! Pet friendly and Kid friendly with the playground and fenced in back yard. TV's with cable in every room. The pool table and foosball table were great, especially on those unexpected rainy days. The house was very clean, well stocked and the decorations throughout the house were beautiful! Wish I could give this rental experience 10 stars!

1st time to Nags Head

A Gem to be enjoyed....
We couldn't have been happier with our accommodations. The house was gorgeous and supplied everything we neeed for a large family get together. I particularly loved the set up of rooms...for adult couples to have access to their own bathrooms and balconies was priceless! The distance to the beach was very convenient for strolls along the ocean. Plenty of grocery stores and restaurants nearby. It was the perfect get away!

OBX Marathon Here We Come! (as spectators, daughter is running)
We loved the vacation home, location was great as was the area. House was set up awesome. really couldn't have asked for more. The setup was fantastic. We thinking of trying out a summer wk. Only thing is during the summer and paying a summer rate I would like a more of detailed cleaning. I think wood baseboards wiped, throughly moped floors like bathrooms. Or else I could have gone a "5" on cleaning.

Fantastic House

Shorenuff 2015
Seven of my closest friends and their husbands rented Shorenuff last week, and it was one of the best weeks we have ever had out of our countless vacations to the Outer Banks. We are hoping to rent the house again next year! I can find few things to complain about for this beach house, but I will say there was a bit of an ant problem in the backyard. Another thing that you can't really do anything about is how thin the floors are! My husband and I are early risers and we stayed in the upstairs master bedroom. Every morning we woke everyone in the house up, no matter how quiet we were trying to tip toe, because the floors creak like mad! However, that won't keep us from renting this house again!

Fall in OBX
We had a wonderful week at Shorenuff, love OBX in the fall. The house more than met our needs. My only complaint was the sand burrs in the grass area of the backyard making it impossible for my dog to roam in the fenced in backyard. Love the location, quiet street yet very close to beach access. Overall great experience would not hesitate to rent again.
