We watched sea turtles hatch from the ocean view deck!!!! For real! Soooo...yeah....pretty magical and amazing. The beach was great, fishing was good, the sunrises and sunsets were incredible, and the home was extremely accommodating and comfortable and very conveniently located. Stores and restaurants and groceries were super close. Had everything we needed plus more. The outdoor shower was a huge hit. We hope to make this a yearly tradition we had such a nice time. Only concern was strong riptides for our 2yo, but that will change. Thank you soo much for the memories!

Mitch's Haven is an cozy cottage that is perfect for making family memories. The view from the deck is breathtaking, the location is perfect and the beach/ocean is just a hop over the dune. We will definitely be coming back for years to come!

We loved the area and the home. We’ve been to this home a number of times. We had 6 people in the home and it served us well. The only issues was the one bathroom but we made it work. Great time with great friends!

This is a great place. The 2 houses on either side are spaced a good ways apart. Plenty of room inside, plenty of cooking utensils. Would definitely choose this place again.

Mitch’s Haven is a sweet little house right on water! House is older, lots of wood and a little dark, but clean and well equipped. With just one bath, it was fine for the 2 of us. Owners have made house very warm and cozy. Listened to the waves each night and sat on deck each morning and felt so close to sunrise we could reach out and touch it!

Mitch's Haven was a nice little property right on the beach. It felt like a home instead of a hotel like some of the other rentals I have used in years past. The location was perfect which is the reason I chose it. The cleanliness was an issue. Also, We packed light because it had a washing machine but it was broken an not replaced or fixed while We were there. We had to take time out of Our vacation to run to a laundry mat. There were a couple other maintenance issues that were taken care of properly. Overall, I would recommend this property just for the location. We woke up, walked down the back porch steps, & was right on the beach where it was not to crowded.

Great location, right on ocean. Proprty is very dated, needs updating, but has all the essentials. Unit has three bedrooms and one bath, comfortable for a maximum four family members. Would rent again with the hope some updating would occur.

Perfect location! Step off the sun deck and you are on the beach! Forgot something? Very convenient to stores. Perfect location to take day trips to Roanake Island, Corolla and south to Hatteras.

The rental has a fully equipped kitchen. I loved having the ocean so close by. It had hoodvheat, we were there in November. The blinds need to be changed, some are broken and they have a lot of dust. The furniture needs to be steam cleaned. In general the cottage was clean on the surface, but it really needs to
be scrubbed everywhere. There seems to be an ant problem.

This well-loved home was perfect for us.The only thing that might give us pause about returning to Kitty Hawk is the increase in traffic noise, including commercial vehicles going above the posted speed limit.

Great location, right on the beach. Small, but clean property. Comfortable for two people, four at the most. Bathroom is VERY small, but adequate for two people. Beach Realty does an excellent job managing the property. Repairs and other issues are handled expeditiously. Would highly recommend.

Million dollar view from this house. Woke up looking at the ocean, enjoyed sitting on the deck and evening star gazing. Quiet and peaceful but close to all the restaurants and activities.

Our family of five has stayed at Mitch's Haven six times since 2009, and will continue to come back to our favorite "home away from home". The house has everything you need for a week at the beach - perfect location, fantastic deck, and simple, comfortable furnishings. It is well maintained and spotless. Our three children are now teens, and we find that there is plenty of space for everyone, even on a rainy day. If you're looking for somewhere to connect with family/friends and enjoy the simple beach life, this is your place.

We wanted to celebrate our 48 years of marriage at the Beach. We love the Outer Banks. So we got in touch with Beach Realty. They found us the most adorable cottage. It is right on the beach. The sound of the waves at night was very relaxing. The house was in excellent condition. We went to all the area restaurants, Awful Arthurs, Black Pelican, Jolly Rodgers. Also did allot of sightseeing. There is always something to do. We recommend this house to anyone who loves the Ocean.

It was an all around awesome vacation for my husband & I and another couple - Mitch's Haven house felt like our 2nd home away from home - the coziness and all amenities of home. We would recommend this house to anyone. Just to come out the side door and go to back deck and hear & see the ocean was great. And to be within driving distances of restaurants & stores was great too. Loved this place

Even though we had horrible weather the week we came to Mitch's Haven, the house itself was cozy, sturdy, and nicely furnished. My husband and I both agreed that the Queen bed was probably the most comfortable mattress we'd ever slept on for a rental property and our son also had no complaints in the double room. We were a little concerned because the bathroom had no vent and the walls looked like it possibly had mold/mildew on them? It was hard to tell for sure because everything is wood. Even though we didn't get to enjoy any beach time, aside from our day of arrival, it was nice to be right on the beach and the hose next to the steps was very convenient. The realty company was great too. Housekeeping had given us the wrong sized sheets for our bed, I called them and they had somebody out right away to drop off the correct size. We probable won't stay at this particular house again, only because our normal rental was unavailable this year, I would say it was a nice experience.

Enjoyed our 6th year at Mitch's Haven. Each year we discover something new. This year, from the deck, we were able to see stingrays (not dangerous) in the crystal clear turquoise water.

We disvovered a crockpot in the kitchen and had a chili cook off with family in the beach. What rental ever has a crockpot - THIS ONE!

We came in need of a restful, relaxing vacation--and after a week of watching the waves from our deck, long walks on the beautiful beach, and lots of time for napping and reading, we left refreshed and ready to get back to life. Also enjoyed The Wright Brothers Memorial, the lighthouses, and the local restaurants. I hope we can come back again--and if we do, Mitch's Haven will be our first choice of where to stay!
