This spacious house is the perfect beach vacation home with a wide-open floor plan. There are three decks, a private pool/hot tub, four master suites, Rec room with pool table and foosball, wide staircases with landings between each level, a full-size laundry room, open kitchen/dining room/family room.

This relaxing home also offers ocean views from the top deck. You’ll find books, puzzles, and games for all ages, Wi-Fi, Spectrum cable on all 8 TVs, AND it’s only a 4-minute walk to public beach access.

You'll love every little detail of this home including the local artwork, motion sensor nightlights, luggage racks in each bedroom, wet/dry hand vac in kitchen/dining area, desk with chair in 2nd level King, black out curtains in 2nd level bedrooms with deck access, walkway to pool/outside shower, coat rack at entry, towel hooks by pool, and front solar lights for those late-night arrivals.

LINENS ARE PROVIDED. Beds are made. Towels, wash cloths, hand towels, makeup cloth, bath mat, kitchen towels, and pool towels included.

Besides the beach, there are plenty of things to do while staying at Dune Our Thing. Located on a quiet street at Milepost 4.5, it’s a quick walk/drive to MANY local shops/activities! Perfect Fit for Family

This house was just what we needed for our family vacation. The beach is the perfect distance for a walk, the pool is a nice size, the hot tub is wonderful. Every bedroom having its own bath was wonderful! This was our first trip with all the children and grandchildren and this house made it possible for everyone to find their own niche. Probably the best vacation in years!
The place was clean, has great furnishings, and every amenity we needed. We would go back again, if we weren’t wanting to take the grandkids to new places. Highly recommend this location!!

Loved the house, the pool, the hot tub, the games on lower level, the pretty towels and clean showers, the location, and distance from beach.

House was fairly clean except some sediment in bathroom drawers which we wiped out. Railings seemed sticky but I wiped down with Lysol.

We would have loved a Keurig coffee machine.

We plan to return next year. Thank you!

Family vacation was awesome!

The home accommodations fit our needs well! We loved the location being two streets to the beach and the quietness around us too. There was plenty of lounge chairs for sunbathing and especially loved the built in seats in the pool too. The house was clean and ready for occupancy before the scheduled window which was a plus. A few recommendations would be to replace a couple of mattresses and add additional towels. We only had one kitchen dish towel which is not adequate for a six bedroom home. We washed and rewashed it for use. Also, I would recommend a larger or second trash can for the kitchen too. Overall, great house for our families with plenty of space, bedrooms, and bathrooms.

House was in a great location. The beds need updated very well slept in. Pool is on the small side but has seats made in it to relax which was nice. Walk to beach was not bad at all. The only down fall is the house needs a deep clean. The top refrigerator needs cleaned inside and out. The oven needs a deepclean as well asthe floors. Your feet will be black and dirty. Other than all that we had a wonderful time. Loved the location.

We had a great stay, the property was close to beach and the added bonus of the pool and hot tub was awesome!!! The cleaning company used could use a few cleaning tips, they didn't do the best job but overall it didn't affect the wonderful time we had. We would definitely go back again, had the best time and was very relaxing.

OBX First Visit

House was ready promptly as promised. Well located for the beach and a nice pool for the kids. House Lay-out accommodated our group of 12 with everyone having a bed (not pull-out couch). Kitchen was well stocked with dishes and utensils.

Summer Vacation

We had a wonderful stay at Dune Our Thing. It was a great space for 3 families. The pool was perfect for our group with many young kids, and the walk to the beach was super easy and safe! Other neighbors and renters in the area were friendly and there's lots to do nearby.
We stayed over July 4th weekend and got to see so many fireworks over the ocean while sitting right on our deck!
My only critique is that I wish there was a bathroom on the lower level, but certainly not a dealbreaker. Regardless, all 6 of the bathrooms were very nice.

Everyone loved the place. The cleaning crew could use improvement but when you take into consideration the size of the house and the turnover time from one renter to the next, you'd understand the reason. I'd rather deal with a little dust and get into the house at 4 pm then wait until 6pm. I loved the house. The beds were so comfortable. The pool...family room...closeness to the beach were great. The realtor reached out frequently to ask if we needed anything...asked if there were any issues. I would definitely rent this house again and use Beach Realty for rental properties.

First of all, dealing with Beach Realty was outstanding. They were prompt, helpful, professional and a pleasure in helping us throughout the rental experience. Dune Our Thing was a great vacation rental. Clean and comfortable. Close to the beach. Great Ocean views. The pool was cool and clean. As was the hot tub. Great New Year's Eve Stay!

Spent four nights here with a group for the week of New Year's. Very happy with the property.

PROS

- Very clean, particularly for a house that allows dogs
- Great location with a convenient walk to the beach and Trio's Market, and an easy drive to the grocery store
- Hot tub was in good shape and working condition, which if you've ever stayed in a rental property you know can be hit or miss
- Perfect house for adults. It's frustrating when houses are designed to sleep X number of people but they just stack a bunch of twin bunks in a couple of rooms and count sleeper sofas.
- This has six bedrooms and only one of them has a set of twins (Attention rental property owners: Two kids can sleep in a queen. An adult couple cannot sleep in twins).
- Good kitchen and open floor plan upstairs. Could easily hang out with 10-12 upstairs in the same room.
- Great decks
- Plenty of parking
- Linens were sufficient
- Kitchen utensils, pots/pans, and tableware were sufficient (knives are obviously horrible but good luck finding a rental house with nice ones).

CONS

- I would bring my own bath towels as theirs were pretty cheap but this isn't uncommon for rentals
- Absolutely nothing provided (not sure if this was COVID-related) so we didn't even have a single roll of toilet paper, paper towels, or a dishwasher pod in the house. Not a huge deal, but I've stayed in 30+ rentals houses over the last decade and that was the first one I've ever seen without a roll of toilet paper.
- TVs are way too small in every room, including the both living areas. Not a huge deal, but it seems like a weird place to cut costs considering how cheap TVs are these days.
- There are two bedrooms that are on the first floor and their shared bathroom is on the second floor. I think this is a North Carolina coastal construction requirement for storm surges, but it's worth noting for guests.

There were only 4 of us staying in the house, so there was almost too much room, but we had a great time. The pool/hot tub were awesome to enjoy after spending the day at the beach and the beach was such a short walk, it was easy enough to go back and forth from the house to the beach several times throughout the day. The property was clean and well maintained inside and out. Sitting on the deck in the morning drinking coffee and watching the sun come up are memories we will cherish for a long time. Two blocks from the ocean was a major plus. No driving to the beach, just a short walk. Perfect vacation spot.

This was my 3rd stay in the OBX and this was by far the nicest house yet. The condition of the house was excellent-It looked like it had been recently painted, the kitchen was well stocked and the pool and pool area were great. The decks have recently been done and the view from the 3rd floor could not be beat. You can see the sunrise every morning out over the ocean. The walk to the beach took ten minutes tops. We had a group of 11 people and everyone had a great stay. The pictures of this house do not due it justice! Beach Realty was on top of their game also. The phone calls to make sure all was well were greatly appreciated.

OBX Home Away From Home

This is a beautiful place that makes you so comfortable you feel as if it is a home away from home. Enjoyed having towels/sheets provided but did have to call Beach Realty about having the three dirty hampers from previous renters picked up and have fresh delivered. Was handled as soon as we called. Three years of renting with Beach Realty is also the easiest experiences we have ever had!

Sept 16 OBXX Stay

We found Grey Goose due to the property we reserved being a disaster upon arrival and we needed another rental. It turned out to be a great vacation thanks to Beach Realty placing us in this house and the owners allowing us to stay at the last minute! The location was great with only drawback being the ocean view is somewhat obstructed by other houses but walk to the beach was quick with easy beach access. It is also close to most anything you need or want to do. The layout of the house and size of rooms worked great for us, maybe a bathroom on bottom level would be nice. Pool was perfect with sun in the afternoon keeping it warm. The house needs a good cleaning and exterior glass doors and sliders need to be replaced but overall it is a great rental and we would definitely stay here again! Grey Goose was very accommodating with the number of rooms and bathrooms. It was very neat and clean and a short walk from the beach. Enjoyed the backyard pool and hot tub. Our stay was very pleasant.

One of our best vacations ever

Grey Goose Vacation

The house was well described and a great place to stay. The pool was wonderful and well maintained. We did miss having seating on the decks. There was only 1 chair a pool lounge on each deck. It would have been nice to have some deck chairs for morning coffee or evening chats.

Outstanding time in the outer banks

We had a blast last week visiting he outer banks!! The house was plenty big enough for the 11 of us. The kitchen was well stocked. Loved the 2 coffee pots. (That made our morning go smoothly.) we had 2 people that had never been to the outer banks before and 3 that it was their second time. We will most likely do this again in a couple of years :).
