This beloved local celebration that’s held at Jockey’s Ridge Crossing in Nags Head features a wealth of activities for visitors of all ages, and is the perfect way to toast the peak of the summer season on the Outer Banks.
There’s a lot to do for visitors of all ages at the annual Watermelon Festival, which is free for all attendees. Enjoy games, food, face painting, tie-dye shirt making, arts and crafts, an inflatable waterslide, TONS of watermelon fun, and more. OBX Watermelon Festival is free for guests to attend; however the purchase of tickets is required to play and eat! Compete in classic competitions like seed spiting and watermelon eating and choose from a selection of awesome prizes from businesses all across the Outer Banks.
