Sometimes planning a vacation is more stressful than desired. There's no need to worry! With the internet, there is a plethora of information out there to help you. Beach Realty manages nearly 500 vacation homes on the Outer Banks, and have been doing so for over 55 years. We have just about anything you need to know on our website, and if you can't find what you're looking for, you can call or text one of our vacation specialists at 800-635-1559. You can talk to a real person, who lives here, that can point you in the right direction! Here are our 5 steps to finding the perfect home to vacation in!

Step 1: Research the Outer Banks

The Outer Banks has many towns to choose from, so do some research on which one might be best for you. There is the 4x4 area, Carova, Corolla, Duck, Kitty Hawk, etc. Check out our town pages for information about each town, give our vacation specialists a call or text at 800-635-1559, and watch our video below with an overview of Outer Banks towns!

Step 2: Determine Your Criteria

Determining your criteria will help you narrow down your search significantly. What dates will you be staying? How many bedrooms do you need? Do you need a home that is pet friendly? Would you prefer to stay on the oceanside or the soundside? Do you need an elevator? Pictured below, our search feature allows you to enter in all of these things to see which homes offer what you're looking for. Once you narrow it down you can move on to the next step.

Step 3: Compare & Contrast

Now that you know which houses offer what you're looking for, you can compare and contrast them. Maybe one offers HBO, one is closer to the beach, another has more room for parking, or a wet bar. Whatever it is, this is where you do your research, ask questions, email, text or give us a call 800-635-1559. We reccommend writing down the differences between the homes. After looking at hundreds of homes, they will all start to blur together!

Step 4: Discuss With Your Party

Nothing brings down a vacation more than a lack of communication and family drama. Make sure you discuss your vacation plans with your whole party before you book a home. If you are coming with a large group of people, we know things can get pretty chaotic! Check our our blog post about large groups below.

It is important that you look over the whole document, as it has important information about the house you're staying in as well as your check in office, as well as our rental policies and payment information. This document also allows you to choose your preferences during your stay, such as early check in, linens, travel insurance, etc.
