It's hard to believe that October is almost over. With Halloween right around the corner, it's time to enjoy some spooky Halloween events! Here's what is going on in the Outer Banks this week!
Located at Secret Island Restaurant in Kill Devil Hills, this arts and crafts expo is free to attend! Local arts and crafts are for sale, along with a variety of local vendors. This event is taking place on October 24th.
This multi-day event showcases a variety of independent movies, spooky activities, meet and greets with filmakers, cast, and crew, plus more! It is taking place at the R/C Theater in Kill Devil Hills from October 25th through the 27th.
This is an event for kids of all ages! Learn about the Outer Banks fishing industry, and tour the spooky exhibits. Located at the Roanoke Island Maritime Museum in Mateo on October 31st.
Running for only a couple more nights, this scary event is a little bit of a drive from the beach, but totally worth it if you're looking for several haunted events! The Slaughter Swamp is a 25 to 30 minute walk, and Mr. Jingles Playhouse is an indoor maze. Each event is $20, or a combo ticket is $35. Purchase tickets there with cash only. This event isn't for young children.
A Halloween parade will be taking place on October 28th at Aviation Park in Kill Devil Hills. This is a free, family friendly costume event. Party is to begin at 2pm, the parade will start at 3pm, and the awards ceremony for the best costume will follow! Thousands of dollars in prizes will be awarded to the best costumes!
